Well I guess you are right. Now I receive email always when one node goes down in group. But I don't receive any information which node is down Even when I tried to add ${NodeName} in email message. I guess I have to try with another maybe {GroupMemberName} ? Group advanced settings: Refresh frequency: 60 seconds

OK, this time it worked when I re-created those conditions. It seems that my email works normally (when I click test button) but when I switched off one router (node) from that group --> I didn't receive any new email.. I think some condition is still wrong.. I also tried to change condition to: Member status is not equal…

Hmm.. I don't get it. I have set alert time correctly (or I think) and server time comes from NTP server. Well, I have few original alerts that comes with SolarWinds NPM and they seem to work. I haven't tried with custom made simple alert. Because I wan't to get alert when one member (node) in group goes down or puts some…

Yeah, I have +120 nodes in that group and I tried with the suggestion that you gave me but it will give me this error: Any solution?

I have the same problem. Did you solved yours? Basic alerts seems to work normally but when I try to create an advanced alert with email, that doesn't work. When I click test alert, I receive email normally. But in NPM alerts tab I can't see those alerts and I don't receive any email when I try to test it. My plan is to…

Seems like email alerts works when I created new custom property and added couple of nodes in "group" in custom property. Is it possible to handle group of nodes without using the custom property?

Yeah, I modified that email part before pasting it here.. Thanks for your advice, I need to check that Advanced alerts I'll let you know if I get it working like it should.

Thanks my friend for the help. I solved this issue few days ago. I used the report writer first as well but then I did it with SQL query in SW database because I wanted to be exactly sure what the result would be. SELECT Containers_AlertsAndReportsData.GroupMemberStatusDescription AS STATUS,…

No, not SNMP trap This message is in SolarWind Orion website -> Syslog , page that receives all syslog messages from all network devices. I don't use Kiwi. All syslog messages goes to Linux first and that handles all syslog messages before they arrive to SolarWinds.

I think the problem is solved. I used Universal device poller status.

Ok, that seemed to solve the issue Thanks a lot guys! I still have one question. If I want more detailed information about for example: Why one node went down in on specified group ..for example if one router (or what ever it) is uses too much memory before collapsing.. and that seem to be known reason why node went down.…

I checked Windows Event Logs and it shows like this: 2014-09-30 22:19:26,764 [AlertCheckingThread] ERROR All - Sending the email to my@gmail.com with subject ALARM using SMTP Server smtp.gmail.com failed. Did you solve this issue Crimson1? I also tried to trigger one command in cmd with plink and it worked (command promt). But in SolarWinds same command and nothing happens :O
