Sorry about the delay in responding but so busy this time of the year. I have imported both the UNDP and the Alert you sent but not sure what I was supposed to see once I had done that as the UNDP just displays the operating status which I already have with the pollers I have previously set up, it doesn't show anything…

No one was able to help me formatting the email alerts so I have found a work round by including a link in the email alert which points me to the resource relavent to the fault. My node details screen for my servers shows the details of the disk and their status and if you click on the title of the table that shows that…

The problem appears to be the certification as I have managed to get it working when I don't select the https option so I know at least now that my powershell is working with the server I want to monitor Exchange on I will see if I can get the Exchange 2010 Database Availability Group template working

Hi, I have got past the original sticking point but now I am getting the following error, Connecting to remote server failed with the folloing error message: The server certificate on the destination computer has the following errors: The SSL certificate contains a common name (CN) that does not match the hostname. Thanks, I have found them and I can now tidy up the folder.
-
Yes that would have been handy as I am having problems but in my case all the links are just grey no utilization display
-
I am having the same issue and can't find the key mentioned, did you ever get a fix for this?
-
Not sure how they are set up but the volume display on our Exchange server looks like this (see below), looking at the AppInsight Display it does look like its taking the space remaining from the 'E' volume (991.09 Mb) even though it is displaying the correct DB size which I assume it is using a Powershell Script to…

I am having the same problem, I can't get the search string to work whether I use one word or a sentence, do you need to use quotes or anything special in this field, surely this should be easy to set up.

Martin, I am using the filters in tables in an APM Summary page, I went back to obtain the information you were after and just entered the same filter again (picking it from the drop down table of previously used commands) and this time it worked which makes no sense to me. Thanks for your assistance in this matter,…

I am continuing to see utilisation figures showing over 100% which doesn't give people confidence in NPM figures as a hole. I checked on a device showing 128% today and the interface is configured correctly at 100Mbs, the device does not support the OID for 64 bit counters so what else is there I can check.
-
I am currently testing this with IE 7 So far so good. Thanks.
-
I think I would have the same problem with APM however the option to send event log messages as traps sounds like a good option but I wouldn't know how to go about doing that. Also assuming I could get the event log messages how do I go about getting this in a report.

Unfortunately that isn't what I am looking for, I want to email just the table off the web page not the full web page which is unweildy in an email, the idea is that the person can see the information quickly when they open the email, a dynamic url to the indiviual table is what is required as per the URL in my original…

Jase, Unfortunately yours is the only response to my question, if you do come across a fix let me know, I must admit I haven't had too much success getting fixes via Thwack in the past. Regards, John

I was given to believe the service would be restarted using the Credentials selected in the APM which is monitoring the service. I am not sure what is the general system user as you refer to it for my Orion Server, the application would of been installed using the local administrator account. I think I will raise this as a…

The performance counter for Exchange only seems to appear on the two servers that don't have mounted databases. The Performance counter for the databases which shows against the mounted databases is greyed out and if you click on it you get a normal screen with no error messages and a chart with no stats on it. (see…

Raul, Thanks I will give that one a go, Regards, John

Jason, Thanks, I have run that and checked the logs, unfortunately they don't show any reason for the 'timeout' in fact they don't even show the fact there was a time out, the logging just stops at the point the discovery failed and then starts up again when I start another discovery. From the way I have been reducing some…

JB, Yes that is how my device poller looks but when I go on to the web display section the option for 'table' and 'chart' are greyed out, any ideas how to get round this. John

Michael, I already know what tri-color is, it has been working fine for me in all previous versions of NPM, it is only now in version 10.0 that it doesn't work as it was before. I have been informed by Solarwinds Development that the green status was removed from the Tri-Color status because some people complained about…

Thanks, that works fine, do you know if there is anywhere I can find any information on the various filters we can use and their syntax as the help is very limited.

Good news after trawling the web and trying different things I have finally found a method that has worked for me and it was so simple in the end just a couple of Powershell commands, all my Database Performance counters are now responding, here is the link,…

I have read the success center document and although this was very interesting I still don't know where I can find the Hardware entry that says 'Virtual, Host Unknown' in my database. I have looked in the Nodes table for the Server in question and although the document says the entry would be in the Nodes.EntityType it…

Thanks for that although I don't know how to set up AD accounts but at least I know its not possible within NPM
-
Thanks for the response, I have looked at the links but these seem to refer to problems with Initial Polls which isn't what I am experiencing, thanks again, John
-
I'm getting the alerts because the applications are going into an unknown state then returning to their original state which was down. The alerts have been in place for many years but I have only been getting this issue for a couple of months. This is happening on numerous Servers I am monitoring, obviously its only…

Unfortunately this tool doesn't do what we require, I just want to see a list of all the EventID - 4740 but clearly showing the account that was locked out and the caller computer name without the need to click on each event log entry that appears in the 4740 filter
-
The link doesn't work anymore it just gives me the success centre screen, is there a new link since the success centre came into play as I am having this issue

Here are the details of the two pollers mentioned in my post, State GrpIndx Hope this is what you wanted.
