This is a must have for the Report Scheduler!

Congrats Kristen!! This is a fantastic community :)

I'm holding out in hopes of buying 5 of my favorite SolarWinds wool beanie caps if they ever come back to the store. *hint* *hint* Merino wool would be awesome

That's the problem tho, you can only see that resource if you have procs monitored on the server. My request is for the Real Time Process explorer to be available on every Windows node regardless of whether or not I have an app assigned to the node. Now that we're talking about it, the same functionality for Linux/Unix/AIX…

Report Scheduler needs this!

You can do this today using the Account Limitation Builder app on your NPM server. You just need to add an entry for the custom property you want to be able to leverage for account limitations. The app is in Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Grouping and Access Control > "Account Limitation Builder"

Good stuff! Just saw the news about integrations with HCO - SEM & ARM. Guess I'll be upgrading to the new RC on Monday
-
Please keep the Win32 app in there as a secondary option! The web interfaces are typically slower to do mass changes/updates. Love the pull-down pre-defined values tho!
-
Awesome, much appreciated!!

That's correct, but I want to be able to set that threshold at the component level as those thresholds may vary from component to component (i.e. 5 java.exe's running, vs 6 processB.exe's running) which would make a need for multiple alerts with different count values necessary. If we set the threshold value at the…

n3gotiat0r - any updates on that? I've got a client asking for support for same vendor. Thanks, Kris

This is a must have feature for anyone doing rebuilds of environments with a ton of IPAM group customization.
-
This really needs to get implemented. The functionality exists in the GUI to run individual reports, but when you have nodes load balanced across 5 polling engines it just isn't practical. You end up having to connect to each polling engine, then combine the multiple reports into one each time you want to run it.

Made my day when I saw this and the application custom properties make the cut this release!
-
This would be a real nice addition for sure. Our clients request this pretty frequently, especially those in the MSP space.
-
Excellent write-up aLTeReGo! Our team occasionally runs in to one-off issues using the traditional app migration method. We'll certainly look at this method to reduce the chances of something "borking"
-
Excellent news!! AIX monitoring has always been a bit challenging for most. This should make things MUCH simpler!
-
Wait till you see Buckwild on MTV(formerly know as the channel that played a few actual music videos) or J-Wow & Snookie's trainwreck show. You will lose faith in humanity lolol!

This is a must have feature for anyone doing a rebuild of an environment with a large # of groups.

Same here

You could do - SELECT * FROM [dbo].[AlertDefinitions] Where AlertDefID like 'AlertDefID_you're_looking_for' or SELECT * FROM [dbo].[AlertDefinitions] Where AlertName like 'AlertName_you're_looking_for'

Hey Brandon, do you have any updates on this? Thanks, Kris Maxwell Loop1 Systems http://www.loop1systems.com

Yeah, the account limitation is in effect as well. Just tested it out in the lab to confirm. Kris Maxwell Loop1 Systems kris.maxwell@loop1systems.com

The conf file settings needed for net-snmp on a HPUX server are really really bare bones. That conf file you listed should allow snmp requests from any host using "public" as a community string. You should also do a search on the server to see if there are other conf files to make sure it's looking at the right one. Here's…

Hey Nicole, Did this ever get resolved? I have a client inquiring about compatibility of Palo Alto 3000 series devices. Thanks, Kris Maxwell

You can get to the AlertLog table via the Database Manger app on your Orion server(Start>All Programs>SolarWinds Orion>Advanced Features>Database Manager). Once you open the app click on "Add default Server". From there you can drill down to the AlertLog table, right click it, hit query table, then click execute query. In…

In this case it would have to be coming from the Advanced Alert Manager, unless you had some sort of trap or syslog forwarding going on for that type of incident that also had a trigger action to send an email.
-
I'm not 100% sure I'm completely understanding your question, but I'll give it a shot - The commands issued by NCM to target devices for download\upload\reboot\etc are located in the individual device templates for each device type. Those templates are located in \Orion install path\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\DeviceTypes. The…

Yep, you can create an email or event log entry action and include text like - Results of script : ${Notes} Kris

The ability to unmanage at the component level.
