..bump.. Anyone solve this problem, or is it that it can't be done?
-
I'm not sure this gets us where we want to be. I think no matter what you can't have both immediate notification and cyclical notification because the trigger action is tied to an alert status. If every time an alert status is reached, the trigger action is performed, it will become a decision of knowing about it in a…

Ok, So is there a way to get notified immediately when an alert gets triggered, and have the notification resent hourly until the alert is fixed or acknowledged?
-
That was how I read it as well. This is why I was concerned that adding escalation rules of every hour would result in additional cascading alerts.

Do you have 'require ssl' enabled on the site in IIS?

Any idea on when Controller based Meru support might show up in NPM?
-
This is unfortunate. As I understand it, if I manually change the caption, it will never get auto-updated in NPM if I change the ifName on the switch in the future. I'd prefer to change the ifName in one place (the switch) and have it propagate to NPM - in a usable form. In this case, I'd have to change the ifName (if I…

I second the request for Meru Support.

I misunderstood that to mean that it would repeat every time the alert was triggered causing cascading actions. I'll try this - thanks a ton! Kevin

We've had a hell of a time with SSL on NPM as well. I've tried two different things: 1) Following the above procedure binding only to HTTPs 443 (and) 2) Using the URL Rewrite module in IIS to force users to the HTTPS site (in this case we have both Https:443 and Http:80) bindings in IIS. In both cases above, I've run on…

I am also having this problem. Also, I find that if I reboot my Orion Server, I also get a Lastboot Changed alert for all of the devices I am monitoring for lastboot change; even if the node did not reboot and the lastboot value didn't change; I just rebooted my NPM server.
