Yes, we need VNQM for ShoreTel please
-
Yes, it's quite useful, especially when dealing with NPM Server / DB Server performance issues. I believe , it shouldn't cost lot of time for the developers to introduce it, it should be one SQL statement to display on the Dashboard corner

Thank you Stuard.

Thank you all. In fact, it's not that evident to predict how it would perform :)

Hi Denny, 1-) URGENT ! That metrics tool to gauge the SAN I/O performance is of a great help. I would appreciate if you could send me even a non-supported, beta version as I have to decise about SAN, since the IT Admin are against old Tech (Spindles / 6 Disks 15 KRMP) , The company trend is HP Blade servers with SAN on…

Thank you very much jtimes for the details. Congo, could you please share with us your setup details, I mean same details as the one given by jtimes, especially the DB server, its disks, ... NTA ot APM only ?

Hi Brandon HP OV NNM solves this by having the user add the Non-pingable IP addresses to a flat file that has a Reserved file name recognised by the network monitor process that instructs it to use SNMP instead of ICPM (ping) to monitor the interface Up/Down status for those particulat interfaces. May be Lab eng will do…

Thanks for your suggestions. I found out that by editing (Check/Uncheck) the EventTypes tabble, I can have better and easier user interface facility to do that.

Thanks alot bshopp. The concept is there as expected (i.e SQL UPDATE), thanks too for providing the exact QUERY for "desciption" as example which is still useful. However, in my case, I need to only monitor interfaces which associated IP_Addr is in an IP_list_file.txt (one IP per line), so here I have to use a sort of SQL…

Thanks mcbridea for your reply. I posted , Tracking user level NetFlow traffic, any hint please ?

Hi and thank you all (Yann, ecornwell and bberry). Yes, that's what I expected, but the thing that during a Web session Presentation organised by Orion at a pre-sales phase, I remeber well, when we asked about tracking traffic by user << not to spy them but to warn whoever is miss-using the bandwidth with movie…

Hi Denny, It would be suitable to instantly graph the performance of the NPM process that monitors the interfaces status both (ICPM when it pings the interface and the SNMP query to refresh its DB for an existing Dev / Interface). This will help trace how such process is performing and will guide us what is the smallest…

Ok, me too I am planning to truncate the 2 tables. Just wondering what traps did you keep, OIDs ?
-
Hi Thank you tdanner. It's done as per your instaruction and I can Web login now and run my demo.

Thanks Miron. Great, I got it now. Any idea on how to be specifc about time range of the day, like 8AM to 6PM ? or may be this can only be done from "Advanced SQL" in thi scase wher can I find the SQL code I generated from my last report so I may edit it and add the time frame ? Rgrds.

Thank you Derik. I'l have a look at the forums again.

Hi Jiri, it's Ok. For the case where we display a 2 raw table (unDP) and we want to split them into 3 columns (single line). See example below: Current display: Router-1 Value-1a Value-1b Prefferred display: Router-1 Value-1a Value-2b Any idea please ?
-
unfortunately not. it might be useful for other purpose it has to read sequentially from a text file, the suggested script passes a fixed parameter as 3rd argument that not apply to my case. Thanks :)
-
Hi, Same thing as Dennis ! Any hint here ? Thanks
-
Hi denny.lecompte I looked into NPM 9.5 Admin guide. No trace of "Active Directory" introduction with that replease ? any hint from the Labs as to when NPM will have Full AD integration. Thank you

Hi Any news about VNQM support for ShoreTel ? Thanks

Hi Rob, I am quite interested in your Orion Server setup you mentioned that handles multiple Orion Applications on the same box. As said, your Orion Server is an HP DL 585 with 16 GB of RAM with PAE active. Can we share details about your SQL Server for: - Processors number / type /speed - SQL Database / Log : how they are…

Thank you GZhytar, May I ask about the standard syntax you usually use to enable QoS on your, let's say 2900 Switch, 2611 router or 4600 Core ? Hereunder what I think should be fine to add: 2948G-L3# qos switching Please advise or just copy/paste a sample.

Hi jtimes, I am quite interested in knowing more about the sizing of your setup with blade servers. I am hesitating whether to go fot HP blades instead of HP Proliant DL360 which supports upto 6 disk spindles for the DB server. My setup is 6000 elements with 50 NTA (NetfLow) interfaces and default polling intervales. Orion…

Hi Same problem as described above I am trying to attach the SQL 2005 Monitor in order to monitor the orion sql server. Any help please. Thanks
-
Hi We simply want to slash down the types of default EVENTS displayed on the Web Console to Up/Down ONLY for Nodes and interfaces + Device Rebootted. That's all. How to proceed ? Thanks
-
Hi pacetti Thank you for the hint. That helps providing a list of Boxes to be monitored, fine, but what if you need to select certain interfaces from each Router and we talk about 700 routers, some routers have 600 interfaces to select from ! Even if somone hase an SLX license "Unlimited # of interfaces", he still doesn't…
