I think it depends on what you interpret wagering as. If wagering them is determined as "putting them in a pot" for example and you and thwack both put in 750 points. and then if you win that question you get all the points then you essentially gave them 750 and got back double 750. If you interpret wagering as promising…

Shared Cube now that sounds horrible

Unless the user knows what you’re doing : ) and then it’s as simple as copying to each device you want

We should start a thread with pictures of your home setup/ office desks

There is never going to be a way to stop "that guy" from complaining about the network. One of the fun finger pointing thing's that I've gotten to do was have "that guy" complain that it was slow and I got to come back and say "well, thats because you've tried to download over 20 gigabytes from the internet in the last…

What do you mean what?

Video wouldn’t show for me either.

Where do you see the top 100? Also, these prizes are AWESOME! Can't I just have them all, DanielleH? Please and thank you.

It's not a wifi dongle. Think Roku, that only does wifi, with a built in HDMI cable, and that you control from your phone or other devices. The chromecast connects to wifi and plugs (using it's built in HDMI port) into a HDTV. It also gets power either from a powered HDMI port on the TV (rare, but getting more popular) or…

I want to win something from Thwack! I haven’t won anything from Thwack! (Yet!)

Whenever I set up my home office, I'll make sure to show you guys. One of the things I'm going to do is more than one tower with Synergy. Have any of you guys out there played with Synergy? Synergy - Mouse and keyboard sharing software I HIGHLY recommend them! and they support tons of platforms. Plus it's open…

I'm wondering if we're talking about the same thing. SSD is better at random access. It doesn't have a spindle arm that has to move from part A to part B of the platter and it doesnt have to wait (however small of a time) for the HDD to rotate around to the right place. Defragging a SSD is bad because it is pointless…

I’ve found a few that were good as well. I enjoyed Threat Vector and even Kevin Mitnick’s book (I forget the title) Have you any other good titles to share?

sounds like a good way to go.

So , in this metaphor, does that mean it will run as soon as you load the page? Also, I like long convoluted metaphors. Like Bo Burnham's Andy the Frog has (Lyrics)

You like to send the same comment twice don't you ?

I just saw something similar to Thwack for VMWare products (at least that was my understanding at a cursory glance) at www.cloudcredibility.com<www.cloudcredibility.com>. Perhaps with a bit more focus on getting VMWare Certifications. And it looks like there are some opportunities to win free certification testing!

My helpdesk compatriots thought I was crazy when, during a meeting, I said that most of our helpdesk calls are Layer 8 (User doesn't understand the directions we provided and needs us to walk them through/ always forgets their password) I've also said before that the problem is in Communication layer - user didn't…

Same here! I want that nexus 7! Why does the drawing have to be so far away!?!?

Lol

But then, if you so much as touch the left side of the corvettes steering wheel (mousepad) your corvette is immediately parked and you are suddenly sitting back on the bus (When you ACCIDENTALLY pull in from the left side of the mousepad and it switches to the last open app)

HELL YEAAAHHH!!!!

Perhaps there is a threshold of importance? If I restart some machines to apply updates, I'm not so worried about that, but if it never comes back up! then yes, problem. Or if it came back up, but there was a snafu with the update/software conflict and some service didn't work right. I want to know about that too. Make…

I’m wondering the same thing jwilson! Soo…at least me

what are the failing updates even for? I had one update that just kept failing and failing and failing and it was like a firmware upgrade for my disk drive. Downloaded and installed the firmware update by hand, tried windows update again and it was happy. I know it isnt always something outside of windows like a firmware…

Go do the question on a different computer/browser with the correct name

I agree. I dont think IPv4 is going away, at least not anytime soon. More likely on the WAN side of our household internet connection and for regular public IPs that will have to switch to IPv6 and everyone could still run their internal v4 behind their NATs. I think public will be made v6 first, but v4 will hold on…
