zachm, Thanks for the reply, for some reason when I attempt your solution I don't have Transaction as an option in my drop down......very strange.

Hi Rob, Sorry for the delay in responding to you. The trap menu is there, the problem is that the user I'm logged in as can't see them. If I log out and go in as another user with the same permissions that user can see the traps.

I should also point out that in my alert manager I don't have any alerts set up to alert me when an application goes down.

I found the problem, there was a check box within the monitor that was not selected, that check box allowed historical data to be saved for reports.
