Other: Who to blame. The attitude has been the other 3 choices are secondary to whose fault it is, real or imagined. It has rarely been find it, fix it, then go over how it happened & how to prevent. BTW the 'imagined fault' translates to: "I'm the one who messed up, but I spin it to blame you."

Thanks, we knew those were choices but we were hoping for a more 'automated' reaction instead of having to grind through the list to sort the matter. Apologies for not making it clearer. Specifically is there an automated way (checkbox, SQL, etc.) to filter the polling to not include the administratively down interfaces?…

Turns out that someone disabled the monitoring of those interfaces. Started monitoring those interfaces and all is well. Thanks, Ken

After having a ticket opened, we got it fixed. Seems that some of the nodes inventories didn't update. After checking that in Settings > NCM Settings > Node Inventory > making sure Interfaces was selected at the top & at the bottom Extend VLANs Inventory was checked, went to Configs > Configuration Management > selected…

Thanks for the replies, After talking to SolarWinds support, I ended up having to manually delete the interfaces that were not being used. I was not able to use SQL for the process (only due to my lack of ability and direct access to the server), and am looking into it if this many deletions are ever needed again. For…
