  • Sorry, these mistakes are getting embarassing. Tested and promised to work: WHERE (Datetime between (SELECT DATEADD(m,-1,DATEADD(mm, DATEDIFF(m,0,getdate()),0))) AND (SELECT DATEADD(ms,-3,DATEADD(mm, DATEDIFF(m,0,getdate()),0))) )
  • Sorry, my mistake. To get the previous month, you don't change the DATEDIFF, rather change the 0 just before the closing parentheses of the DATADD to a -1. (DATETIME BETWEEN (select DATEADD(mm, DATEDIFF(mm,0,getdate()), -1)) AND (select dateadd(ms,-3,DATEADD(mm, DATEDIFF(m,0,getdate() )+1, -1))) )
  • The GetDate() function will return the current date/time, so from there it's just a matter of calculating the first and last day of the month. Some good examples are here: http://www.databasejournal.com/features/mssql/article.php/3076421 Taking the expressions from that page, your WHERE clause would be: WHERE (DATETIME…

Humidity is oid 1.3.6.1.1.318.1.1.10.2.3.2.1.6 you don't…
  • OID for battery temp should be: 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.2.2 OID for emStatusProbeCurrentTemp is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.1.3.3.1.4. However, the emStatusProbeCurrentTemp is a value in a table of probes, and unless I'm missing something, I don't think Orion is capable of walking through the values in a table without setting…
  • I've been working on this same problem for a while. We are also using custom properties to filter notification, so the basic alert wasn’t cutting it. The only thing that I've come up with is to create a new custom property and use a SQL trigger to populate the custom property, and then the alert can be built using numeric…
  • Assuming you are using the advanced alerting engine, create a custom property in the nodes table (using the custom property editor) named "Customer" or something simliar. Set the value for this custom property for each node to be the customer name. Create seperate rules and add a Custom Properties:Customer == <customer…
  • quote:Originally posted by Mithrilhall I haven't started using 8.0 yet but there is not option for GetTable? No GetTable option, just Get or GetNext. I'm hoping a GetTable or GetNext looping will be in the next minor release.
  • I considered that approach, but we had a number of devices that didn't have a global status object. Glad to hear you found a workaround without too much trouble. I'm still working on defining trap to alert rules, but the implementation seems to be pretty robust.
  • Does anyone know what this error means (from the eventlog)? Source: OrionCustomPollingService Error Opening MainTaskDataReader Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression. The statement has been terminated.
  • We have integrated 8.5 with MOM 2005 by using a command line event inserter that we developed in-house (called from ORION via an Execute Command action with the variables in the command string). However, SW now has a download for MOM intergration with V8. Is this not applicable?
  • I should have looked further, you can add "Traps Summary" and "Last XX Traps" to a view under the Customize Views admin page.
  • Do you know any ASP? The traps are all stored in the TRAPS and TRAPVARBINDS tables in the DB.
  • I found the fix for this in another forum post, so credit to whoever documented it previously. 1) Confirm that the Orion server has Internet access (configure proxy settings in Internet Explorer) 2) If you are using an auto-proxy discovery script, disable it and for the time-being manually specify a proxy server in IE 3)…
