  • martian monster That's great news!
  • Hello Daphne, and welcome to SolarWinds!! Group Policy Objects are not currently included in the APM Active Directory template. They do have WMI counters under the class \\root\rsop namespace, so you could monitor them by creating a vb script. Microsoft has a tool that writes WMI scripts called Scriptomatic - I highly…
  • I took a quick look, if I choose Reports -> Custom Chart I have the option to select my custom pollers - does that get what you need?
  • Hello CSawyer, I'm the support engineer assigned to your case. It was opened by Michael Tai and he and I have actually corresponded quite a few times, so there has definitely been a response from us. My last message to him indicated that I have asked our NCM developers to look into this issue and I would let him know as…
  • Hi codpet , sorry you weren't able to get through! I can help you with some of those questions: 1) Definitely add the vCenters. Hosts are optional, you can add a couple and see if you get value from it. 2) Monitoring VMs is just like monitoring any other node in NPM - you would have to add them. 3) No - we recognize it as…
  • Ed, I'm the support engineer working on your case. I've sent you two e-mails now, including one with a fix to your APM v2 issue that our development team worked on. I've yet to hear anything back from you, even as a confirmation that the fix worked. We would really like to get everything resolved for you, but we can't do…
  • Hello vijay.raje@eclinicalworks.com ! Unfortunately SWQL can't pull data from a specific OID, but we can probably get what you need via the UnDP. We have other options besides a tabular display - we can do a gauge, a chart, or just raw data. What information are you trying to poll?
  • This issue was addressed in a hotfix for 11.5.2 - if you're still experiencing this, I suggest installing the latest hotfix for Orion Platform (currently v6).
  • I am so happy it's making your life easier! I've sat through many tedious diagnostic collections and if I can spare anyone from that I know I've done some good.
  • Running the config wizard will always take the system down - it stops and uninstall/reinstalls all the NPM services. As to what exactly is being changed in the database, if you're going to version 11.5 there are some big schema changes. The two most significant are changes to the alert structure with web-based alerting,…
  • Hello Jeff, I just sent you an e-mail - I'm checking with our developers to see if they have any insight. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something back!
  • We can't commit to a time frame, but this is something we are looking at doing. For my own curiosity, since the HF are cumulative now, what's the advantage for you of an SR over HF?
  • Alright, we’ve gotten enough feedback to officially declare the fix for this issue is to change the TransferMode property in the Information Service settings from Streamed to Buffered. To recap, you can do this in the centralized settings section of your website: 1) Go to…
  • Hello all! I'm sorry for the confusion, I've updated our internal notes so when they get sent out they are more clear: 1) Go to http://YOURHOSTNAME/orion/Admin/AdvancedConfiguration/Global.aspx 2) Find "SolarWinds.Orion.InformationServiceClient" and change TransferMode to "Buffered" 3) To apply changes please restart Orion…
  • Hello Everyone! Thank you all for opening the support tickets - please keep them coming and remember to PM or @Mention me so I see them as soon as possible. We have all of our senior engineers working on finding a resolution - we've been able to reproduce it in-house, which is a big plus, but as you all know, it takes a…
  • Hello Everyone!! My name is Kate, and I am product owner here at SolarWinds, but if you've been a customer for a while there is a good chance you worked with me in Support. First, I'd like to thank everyone for sharing their feedback on the upgrade experience. Second, I'd like to apologize, since this thread shows that…
  • Well that should definitely not be the case - I recommend you open a support ticket and mention this thwack thread so we can take a look!
  • Hello Ken, I'm the support engineer that has been working on this case with Craig. As I've communicated to him via the case, we are committed to working with you to resolve this. I understand your frustration with the amount of time it is taking, but unfortunately it is not a simple fix or an easy issue to pinpoint. Our…
  • Kreases, is the information you're looking for (Port 1, Bay 4, etc.) actively pulled by this UnDP, or is there another one that gathers this information?
  • martian monster & cmartin4255 , I see you've confirmed everything has been stable with support and your cases are closed - thanks for hanging in there with us!
  • martian monster & cmartin4255 I've reached out to support management on your open cases; if the hotfix does not work, please reply to support ASAP. They will let me know and we will get as many eyes on these as we need to, to get you guys back to stable!
  • Hi patriot‌ ! If I understand your question, it happens each day and then is deleted after the retention period. There are stored procedures that run during database maintenance each night that basically looks for data older than "date - (retention setting)" and executes on that.
  • I'm really sorry to hear you're still having trouble after the upgrade! We have not had wide-spread reports of this post hotfix 2, so we'll have to do some more investigation. Could I get you to get some memory dumps when the memory is spiking up and send them into support? That should help us figure out the root cause and…
  • Hi Seashore‌! Could you possibly grab some diagnostics for us, to speed up support's investigation of the issue? Directions below - reply to the case e-mail you got to let them know they are there once you've uploaded them. Thanks! Go to Start-> Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Documentation and Support -> Orion diagnostics…
  • Hi danbran ! There's not exactly a log, but there is a view in the database called "Alert History" which should get you what you need. No need to turn on logging, it already does it by default.
  • Just FYI, we should have this corrected in hot fix 1 for NPM 11.5.2. It's due out in the next couple of weeks.
  • You mentioned that you want the products integrated, if you are looking to do that then you will need to install NPM, VNQM, NTA, & NCM all on the same polling engine. The SQL database can & should be separate. Otherwise they can run as standalone products, but they will not all be integrated into the same website. Hope…
  • Andy - yes, the form login monitor supports HTTPS (it does not need a separate component like the http/https website monitors). If it's failing, most likely it's because it's a javascript form and not a true HTML form.
  • You have it down exactly! I second installing all the hotfixes for 11.5.2, but other than that you should be good.
  • Yeah, AppInsight templates aren't meant to be deleted or copied the way regular templates are. All we can really do is give you the thresholds from the default template and you can reset them manually.
