You should have it even without HA - can you try restarting the SolarWinds Administration Service? If that does not work, please open a support ticket and we'll figure out what's going on.
-
You can just select the tests you want, and click "Refresh Check." It will run them right then and there, no HA Required.

I am opening a feature request on this RIGHT NOW!!!

Most of the these issues have been resolved since this post, but if anyone still has trouble they can start with this KB Article: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/orionplatform/Content/core-optimization-activeDiagnostics.htm If that doesn't solve your issue, please let support know! Thanks everyone &…

Hello Sunny! The first thing you'll need to do is download the Oracle client onto the Orion server, if you have not already done so. We have one available in your customer portal : ( www.solarwinds.com/.../ ) (It's located under Additional Components -> Download Orion NPM Components -> Oracle Client). Once that is…

My pleasure and thanks for updating the thread!

Great! Let us know if you see any improvement from following those steps.

No, it won't impact your polling to make the directory bigger, although if you still see issues with files not being deleted it might be time to give support a call. Also if you monitor the directory with a file size monitor like in the screen shot above, make sure you adjust the threshold to whatever you changed the size…

martian monster Can you log in to the webconsole ok? If so then I wouldn't worry about either of them.
-
Hello! Yes, you can delete the .mq files to reduce the size of the directory. Sounds like you have already found the relevant KBs but just in case here they are: https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Delete_.mq_files_in_the_MSMQ_folder Unable to start MSMQ service after deleting…

borgan is correct - the node does not go back into warning once it recovers, it goes back to up. Warning is only when the initial ping is missed. Also correct is that the fast ping lasts for as long as the node warning interval.

Your best bet in this type of situation is to take the pre-configured alert, copy it, and modify from there. That way you'll have the default condition and won't have to jump through hoops. In your screen shot, I'm not sure you have the trigger quite right. You have application equal to down, but then the component in…

Hello! Hi Ed, I sent you an e-mail through the case, we'll take this offline and straighten out the remainder of the issues. Thanks!
-
serena dtaylor_sw I have your support case on my list. Our engineering team is still investigating.

"Buffered" is technically how it has always worked; we introduced Streamed as a way to lower memory consumption for the Information Service, especially in larger environments. So you're not really sacrificing anything with the change, it's working the way it always has.

martian monster - here are (hopefully) clearer directions: So, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion and find the file SWNetPerfMon.DB Make a back up just in case! Open with NotePad Find the very first connection string (this is very important) Find the "Data Source" entry (it should look this: data…

Got it, thanks Mark! Support is probably going to ask you to get a process dump when the CPU is spiking & send it to us (second half of the below article): Collect a process dump - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support We do see a consistent theme of port exhaustion in a lot of the cases we have so far - just a…

stevenma Got it, thank you!

Thank you, I fixed the link in my post - I think I might have tagged an internal-only one, sorry!

kman11 Got it, thank you very much!

Domain admins are still subject to group policy restrictions, which can cause problems with the install. We recommend you use local admin to avoid that.
-
No data would be summarized for the first 7 days of your database's existence - the stored procedures would still run, but nothing would meet the criteria it looks for.
-
You would need WPM for anything with java.
-
I would do it before, will save you a run of the configuration wizard.

Size isn't really an issue, but it does occasionally get corrupt. The steps posted are for Job Engine v1 - for APM v4.x, you'll want to reinstall Job Engine v2. Your best bet is to open a support ticket - then we can investigate the problem more thoroughly. www.solarwinds.com/.../
-
That's true, good point. It will not poll whatever nodes are assigned to that engine, though.
-
Hi Network_Guru! I checked and didn't see any support tickets open for you. If you could open one and let me know the ticket number, we can get this resolved. You can do this online here: forms.netsuite.com/.../externalcasepage.nl
-
Thank you, I added it to my list!

Thank you Simon, got your case on my list. Support will probably ask you to get a procdump when the CPU is spiking: Collect a process dump - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support It's normal to have multiple Job Engine Workers, but not to the point where they use all the system resources. We'll definitely want to…
