Okay, I've been able to isolate it down to one server and one volume. I tried remove the volume resource and re-add it in and it sill shows that the volume is 100% full and it is not 100% full.

Will there ever be an "Alert Message" for the advanced alert engine?

Have you tried to take a look at Windows 2008 event subscriptions... You might be able to accomplish forwarding the events.

Not that I know of, but there is a log file for the alert service. Typical Location: C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\swAlert.log There are some other log files in there as well.
