So we have been truncating tables to fix the issue...watching the swmaintenance log on the main poller and seeing which table it gets stuck on during maintenance is the only way to do this...after we truncate it has made it through, however the same issue occurred 7 days later This maintenance is a good indicator as to the…

I wonder if it is a security patch that reverts the setting for that to off...which is the default

I think this can be done in the report writer, depending on what you're looking for There are some categories there you can choose, have you looked there?

Brrr....sounds chilly

Describe the situation: Current software and hardware is a good start

Have you tried re-running it? maybe a bad password in the field?? confirm that UserID and password and make sure it is a Sysadmin on the DB

To bump this post a little I am seeing this behavior on our Aristas where the Temperature is hitting - 179,999,968.00 on the Power Supply 2 I have sent myself an email to show that this is creating a Hardware Critical status on the device The bigger question I have ...Is this a Solarwinds issue or an Arista issue?

As long as you're not updating configs on your production equipment, testing these in production shouldn't be a big deal...you can limit your devices as well
-
I couldn't resist

Hmm...it seems to me that the only way to do it would be to schedule complete down time...deactivate the licenses..install the software on the new hardware and add the licenses to those pollers If you have extra licenses, then you could just rebuild the hardware with those licenses while the other systems were up, but I'm…

That is going to take some creativity Is the group dynamic? or static? How many groups do you have? Can you create a group of down nodes dynamically outside of your other group and use those to do the division? DownNodesGroup/NodesGroup=50% kind of thing

What is your polling interval in NPM for this node for the node and interfaces? Since NTA is pretty much 1 minute I would make sure to have 1 minute polling on the device as well...and I mean for interface polling not node polling, although I would probably do 1 minute polling across the board if this device were very…

Netflow configurations live in the running config of the devices so you can use NCM to search for the destinations using compliance or searching
-
Go to UDT page and click the Manage Ports link on the top left pane and there is a drop down list that has UDT Managed Nodes and UDT Unmanaged Nodes...select the nodes you want and click the Manage Node with UDT button

Did you ever resolve this? We are trying to stop the tables growth but it won't shrink
-
Just curious what version are you running?
-
Uninstall and reinstall fixed the issue
-
Anyone get Network Atlas display issues figured out?
-
That NPM version is wrong, can you confirm the versions again? Also, one of the things I make sure of is to remove the Solarwinds Orion Improvement Program from any of your servers...this component causes issues and gets installed automatically Jason

Existing or new hardware?

So I am fighting a similar battle myself and I find some of your points interesting. Here is my scenario: When we turned on SNMP traps, we flooded the database, Traps and TrapVarbinds tables...this caused us to run out of space on the databas...this seemed to have had many significant down stream effects, other tables were…

So I took some Snips of Out of box Alerts for version 12.01 and then 12.1 They added 30 OOB alerts to 12.1 ...we dont have exactly the same setup as far as alerting on our QA instance, but this should provide some reference for us First 4 images are 12.01(Current OOB) and last 5 images are 12.1 12.1

Well, thats a good to know moment Thanks for the info

I've been tinkering with this same thing and thought I'd throw you some info on what I've found and believe...there is a NCM_Connection Profiles table, that I do not believe is viewable within the SDK, but if you go to your SQL management studio you can see it there...when you query the table you can see the connections…

You will need to create a custom poller that you assign to all of your Aristas Software version OID is 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.10.1 System Description is 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1 Let me know if you need any others

adatole Not to beat a dead horse here, but with the evolution of v12, have these #'s changed yet again to the up-side? This seems like a good topic to bump for the very large install bases out there.

Anyone ever really get this working properly?
-
Just curious if anyone has seen this issue on cards that are installed without SFPs but still reporting back bad data?
-
Hi, I was able to get in and complete it...however it did lose connection on the last question and I had to start over...but it worked the second time Thanks Jason

I can't get to the link
