Cloud is just someone else's computer that you can't see or physically touch. On-prem will always be the preferred for security, ease of maintenance during crisis, and monitoring. Cloud has pros but the cons outweigh them.

In Solarwinds we are only able to see it when we look under the "Interface" tab in the Node Summary page.
