@"tinypomelo" Can you share the support ticket number here? I'd like to look into the details a little more.
-
That is correct.
-
@"kencancast" That has recently been identified as a bug, and a fix is on the way. Hopefully, we should see that in a service release for 2025.1 soon. The fix will increase the clean-up to every 7 days by default, so this should not happen anymore.
-
Thanks for the info. I have asked the engineering team to look and see if we can determine where that very odd (old) modification date is coming from.
-
@"edgarbonnell" If you install the SR 2024.4.1 the issue with the save button should be fixed. Can you also give me your ticket number so I can have a look at what is being communicated internally on this issue? Thanks!
-
The document you are looking at is for older versions. Try the one linked below, as several configs have moved to new sections. Specifically, I think the one you are looking for to achieve what is suggested in the older doc is in "electronSwitches" now. <disable-gpu> If you are still not finding it or the config change…
-
@"StillGoing" The issue with the Save button has been identified and fixed in the upcoming SR. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, that should be available in about 3 weeks.
-
@"ragetank" Can you open a support ticket on this? The engineering team cannot reproduce it. Those bendy links should work anywhere the maps are supported so we need to investigate why you are seeing that behavior in your environment.
-
Checking with the engineering team on this. NOC mode should not change the bendy links.

Out of the box support for GCP on par with our current support for Azure and AWS is under active development. While I can't share an exact version yet, you should be seeing some news on that front in the near term. thwack.solarwinds.com/.../support-for-gcp
-
Out of the box support for AWS RDS for SQL server has been added in 2024.4. Check out the RC here: Version 2024.4 Features: Cloud Support and Improved Poller Scalability
-
You should not have any problems with that. As far as I know there are no breaking changes in update 3. VMware has only ever done that in an incremental release once in several years. 8.x should work fine. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/vman/content/vman-supported-versions-of-vmware-hyper-v.htm
-
We are actively investigating this internally. If anyone else sees this issue in their environment, please open a case with technical support so we can tie your ticket to the existing investigation.
-
As brscott suggested above, please open a ticket so we can investigate that. If it isn't something support can pin down and resolve, they will escalate it to engineering as a possible bug and I'll keep an eye on it internally.
-
Just want to clarify to make sure I am answering the right question here. Are you saying you are getting no metrics at all or just not the additional metrics (example: cloudwatch alarms configured in AWS dashboard) If it is the latter, that would make sense because the current polling technology we use for cloud monitoring…
-
@"t.m-k" Unfortunately adding lines to the policy will not result in additional data being polled. Currently, the metrics and entities polled are "locked" to specific items. I know you asked a similar question about DB support previously. If you and your team have some time, I would like to chat directly with you to gain…

Yes, they are the same. With the move to "Hybrid Cloud Observability" as the overall name for the platform, we removed reference to "Orion" in most places. Functionally they are the same. Intelligent Maps is not a new additional feature. And on your final point, yes it looks like we need to update the images on that web…
-
2024.2 which is almost GA will include a migration tool that allows you to convert maps from NA to Intelligent Maps. It is the first version of the tool and still does not have full parity but it should be able to migrate a good chunk of your maps. If you use the tool and find things that don't work or need adjustment,…
-
Thanks! I'll add your ticket to our internal notes as well.
-
I believe I am already working on this same issue for you internally. We are in the process of validating 6.5.5.5 and in general we believe that anything 6.5.5.x should work fine. If you wouldn't mind, could you request your original support ticket be re-opened? I will link that to a ticket on the engineering side for the…
-
Hi Tim, If you don't currently own HCO you will be limited to the items listed in the article you referenced. We are working to add new supported cloud objects to HCO this year. The 2024.2 release which is soon the be GA will add support for Azure SQL DB and Azure Load Balancers. The 2024.4 HCO release which is currently…
-
Often when we see installations stall like that, it is because of anti-virus or other security software that is blocking the install in some way. If you can't sort out what is blocking the install, open a ticket with support and the team can help you. If you are in a pre-sales evaluation, reach out to your sales rep and…
-
In centralized settings you can toggle "GroupingsSynchronizationEnabled" and that should stop those from showing up. VMAN / HCO supports polling tags from VMware and converting them to custom properties. The setting above does not stop the polling of the tags but it should stop them from being converted to custom…
-
Can you ping your case number here so I can follow that internally?
-
Internal ticket number for tracking this request is: OO-30921 and open for community voting on Import/Export Maps - Feature Requests - Hybrid Cloud Observability.
-
Yeah that does not scale well. I am going to add a feature request to the back log to see about adding a verb to the SDK that will allow for bulk saving of maps and as a stretch perhaps a UI to do the same in the console.
-
I would open a case on that with support so the teams can investigate what is happening there. If it is a bug / regression, support can escalate that to engineering for further analysis.
-
We are aware of the issues with the success center and internal teams are working to fix that.
-
If you open a ticket with support they will validate this is the same known issue and there may be a workaround available we can supply in conjunction with the support ticket.
-
Hypothetically you can workaround the `Ignore certificate error` issue by using an electron switch called `--ignore-certificate-errors`. You need to have the newest SolarWinds Platform 2023.4. To use it you only have to start the WPM Recorder process with that switch as the command line, i.e. `WPM Recorder.exe…
