Add us to the list. When I think about it, there is never really a point where we do not want to collect stats. It's all how we report on the stats that matters.
-
Same here. Auto adjusting baselines is where it's at. In a previous life we had this (http://www.netiq.com/products/am/modules/performanceprofiler.asp) which did just that. I do hope SW gets there quickly :)

My own experience has only been slightly over a year and only since version 9.5, so I haven't dealt with any major bugs, but I have firsthand experience with new features not being fully baked. Others at my present company may have a different opinion J I personally agree with Questionario on this one. After a feature…

Agreed, we just built out a new Orion install and this issue still seems to exist. VLANS are being counted in port usage.
-
We would love to get a hold of these as well. Very nicely done.
-
Donald, This is something we would be very interested in. Trending would help us to find trouble spots and predict growth. I've used another tool at a previous company called "Performance Profiler" that took trending to the next level and looked at your actual historical data and could figure out what was outside the norm.…

With ESX 4 being able to monitor the hardware directly, I wonder if some of that info is not availble via SNMP or the API? We had the OMSA agents under 3.5 but have not gone down that road with 4.0. Instead we are relying on vSphere, but pulling them into NTM would be sweeeeeeeet.
-
@smargh - I like where you are going with this. The Manage Engine "Security Snapshot" and it's underlying views would be very useful. Since we have a proxy server sitting between users and the firewall, if there were some way to follow traffic from the end node through the proxy and out to the firewall, that would be…

Brian, Is there any movement on this. We are taking delivery of our first Compellent array. As we slowly continue to migrate away from EMC, it would be nice to know if Solarwinds can be our SAN monitoring solution or if we need to look elsewhere - when the time comes to pull the trigger. Thanks! John

Now onto the SAM DHCP Template issue: We'd like to filter out specific scope for these two components. If anyone has already done so and would care to share.....

nickzourdos How'd you embed the perfstack into the noc view? I tried and the only thing I could find was custom html resource. That did not present the data the same way as shown in your screencap.

Add us to the list for this request as well. #2 - My OCD would be addressed #3 - YES! #4 - Now we are talking. You mean we don't have to go back and correct an entry which doesn't syntactically match all the rest? Wha?
-
Has this ever been implemented or does NCM have another supported way to backup a Bluecoat Proxy device?
-
I really never had the time to explore this. Perhaps in the next few months. The longer I wait the more I hope the next release of NCM will solve the problem for us.

A way to expose all the fields IPAM captures (Alias, IP6, Machine Type, Vendor, etc) )on the IP ADDRESS VIEW. A way to click on the IP Address or DNS Name of an object in the IPAM list that is also either in NPM or APM and have it take you to appropriate area in NPM or APM. In other words, a link between objects in the…

So Solarwinds has their own DPI - http://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/Orion/SummaryView.aspx?ViewKey=DPI Summary. It would be fantastic if they could bring NPM QoE (formerly DPI) together with NTA.

I've noticed the new graphs have a sample interval of 30 minutes by default, where the old ones were every 15 minutes, I believe. If you try to set the new down to 15 minutes, you get a error stating you can't (to many data points or something) and then you are forced to shorten the date range from 3 months to two months…

I'm using IE10. I will clear cookies and reboot again when I get home. Thx!
-
See my post here. This has been brought up before. Add your name to the request!
-
Not sure where you are seeing that. I'm looking but don't see anything like it unless I pick just one node, and then I can report on the properties of that one node. I want to report on multiple nodes who all have the same custom properties. Oh, and I need the same for Interfaces, as our WAN interfaces have Circuit info in…

Add us to the list. Actually, that is what my post (refer to the Dundas Charts section) back on 9/21 was about: I guess I did a crappy job of describing what we wanted. :(
-
We'll add a +1 to Goliath's responses. The only addition would be Juniper support. We have Cisco and are moving more and more to Juniper. So supporting both is key to us.
-
Got it. This would be an out of box app templates - "Exchange 2010 Statistics with PowerShell". We will open a ticket. Once we set up all the correct WinRM and IIS settings on the exchange servers, along with installing the Ex2k tools on the Orion server we get a bit further and now see this: Testing on node xxxxxxxxx:…

Thanks to everyone for replying. Looks like we need a combination span port and some report filtering. The proxy seems to complicate this a bit :( John
-
Selecting List Resources on the node results in "SERVERXYZ is currently down, unreachable, or SNMPCOMMUNITYXYZ is not a valid SNMP community string.". Which is EXACTLY what we expect. We just expect it to happen as soon as Orion finds the node in this state. We did not go into Edit Settings because we deliberately wanted…
-
Andy, We do have delays, those are the 5 seconds and 15 seconds for the trigger and reset. I should have explained that better. Is there any way to ensure that the reboot or up conditions don't fire unless the down condition has fired? How would one work the syslog option? Would we have to use syslog for all up / down…

Most definitely interested and willing to participate! Let me know. - John
-
We have Juniper SA / MAG SSL VPN appliances we'd like to monitor DHCP on.
-
I don't really understand this myself. Would love to hear the answer as I am sure I am missing something here.
-
Like Mike, we are available for this one as well. But we are middle age solarwinds users. Wait, that didn't come out right. Lets just say we have just over 3 years experience. If you need us, we are here. John
