This SSL Check is great. Can you provide some more info on how to set up the thresholds? For example, can we would like to use Warning threshold to specify if the cert is within x days of expiring and we want to use Critical threshold to alert when it has expired. What values do we populate in those fields?

Well I think it would be really nice if the sub-interface at least showed up under the physical interface in Orion. Oh, and if they could be ordered according to numerical value instead of 1,10,11,12,...2,20,21,22 that would go a long way in making it easier to use.

Can anyone @ SW comment on the status of this? Thanks!

Any reason a feature can't be added to poll a node via SNMP as primary but use WMI as seconday for these new features? WHY MUST WE CHOOSE

I've had to reset IE and then register SecureCRT to get it to work properly. Funny, the free Solarwinds Dameware SSH client always seems to register properly - if it was more like SecureCRT we'd switch in a minute.

Thank you Marie! It's great to have people like you keep an eye on the forum.

We vote for this as well but...... we were told that report writer is actually not going to be enhanced with graphs and such. That functionality was being moved into the web pages where you could schedule reports (for now - emailed web pages) to be sent. I'd like to see a full featured web based report writer personally.…

Donald, I see your point, but I guess from my view, I'd rather just have SW partner with a few of the vendors out there and fully support their hardware. So perhaps APC and Netbotz partnerships where they introduce a device and SW fully supports it out of the box, without custom pollers, etc. Just point at the device with…

And to bring this back from the dead, APM KB integration would be awesome, especially in a case like this: We pull up the Windows Server 2003 2008 Template in APM and it has a link or displays inline the KB article for the template from here - http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/3090/Windows+Server+2003-2008…

We need this as well. We get flooded by these events. There is a similar post here request the same: Perhaps we could further enhance this functionality by optionally ignoring the events for an port marked as "Display interface as unplugged rather than down."

This stuff is super hard to find and some of it is really buried in the docs. That being said, even knowing the commands, it's hard to get it working. I've added the delay command to my script so it now looks like: { CLI { request system storage cleanup ${Delay:5} y } } And it results in this error: Validation Failed: An…

This is the kind of stuff the drives admins to drink. We've got the same need and never dug into why the variables didn't work with advanced alerts. Asking the obvious - why do basic alerts support features that advanced alerts do not? Solarwinds - please fix this....

I'll vote for this. Come to think of it, i am pretty sure I did vote for most of this in other threads. And I agree with you, if I have to roll my own, why pay for that priveledge. Out of the box and supported is what we want.

Was any more work done on this. We'd like to use NCM to manange our APC UPSs as well.
-
I'd like to suggest integration with something like Secure Auth - http://www.gosecureauth.com/solutions/web/on-premise-applications.aspx = which is tokenless and works very well for us!
-
We use GWI iSupport. The format for us is: Subject: OrionAlert: ${ObjectType} - ${NodeName} - ${Status} Body: Date / Time: ${AlertTriggerTime} Location: ${Location} Contact: ${Contact} Node IP: ${IP_Address} Node DNS: ${DNS} Node Details: ${Node.NodesDetailsURL} We only recently start experimenting with this and we don't…

At this point we (my company) have not opened a ticket and no one has responded to this thread from SolarWinds. So unless one of you two opened a ticket, they probably are not working on the problem. I may have time tomorrow to give them a call.

We have Cisco MDS switches. Along with what others already stated, a host to port mapping / lookup feature would be nice. And a consolidated view of the host and all it's interfaces on one page.

I think this is a great idea - see here:

jwhitten, best post in a while on thwack. I also fully agree and could never figure out why the window didn't dynamically resize.
-
We'd like this as well. This would be great as a troubleshooting tool. Even a top 10 monitor would be a start.
-
Did you ever get an answer on this one? Having same issue here. Cert imported, LEM will not respond on 443 or 8443.
-
Ahh, gotcha. I thought that all moved to SAM. Kind of confusing in my book. Server HW health monitoring should be in one place IMO.

We just implemented this with great success. But what we'd really like to do is grab the ticket # created and store it in orion so we can update or close it later on via another sendhttprquest call. Anyone know if this can be done? Can orion store the results of the call? The screenshot below is what we get back from a…

Scratch that. Found them. Have to select Node and then find the netflow object.
-
Missed this recent request for the same thing: And a similar request for APM: If we keep raking in the votes, we are gonna be moving on up, to a deluxe apartment in the sky.
-
Did this make it into NPM 10? Also, will the status icon be a map only feature or can we display it on the node details? We'd like it on the node details.
-
Here's another great example, which is where I stole the line from: Cisco IOS upgrade for NCM Template via TFTP, SCP, or FTP Thank you to HolyGuacamole and sean.martinez for the assist!

If we could define the alert right at the node level instead of having a seperate alert manager that might give us quite a bit more flexibility. Just a thought...
