aLTeReGo trying to get this to work and not having much success. We currently have some user context processes that all use the same executable with different command lines. They are launched interactively from a desktop shortcut. The shortcut uses this as the command "G:\Fidelio\IFC8\Ifc8.exe…

Please keep it on the radar as it looks like the next gen DELL hardware shipping in March will support quite a bit more via the DRAC without an agent. That's ultimately where we'd want to be. It would be nice if SW would offer both options and just let us choose.

Would like to see this as well.

Interesting. So will things like the physical port attributes be lost then if we do not monitor them - ie speed / duplex / description? I really think sub-interfaces should not be counted as separate interfaces for licensing purposes - it just make the whole configuration harder to manage.
-
Not seeing it in my customer portal. I recently switch companies though which is probably the cause. How can we gain access?
-
I know you didn't promise anything, but we could really use this right about now. This is one of those things that should be built into NPM in our opinion, so we would be so extremely greatful if you get this working under 10.x flavors of Orion NPM.

macnugetz - The new templates are great! I'd like to suggest a summary chart showing the different components monitored and which template monitors them? A side by side visual comparison would be really helpful.

I believe a WHERE statement is missing: SELECT Nodes.NodeID AS NetObjectID, Nodes.Caption AS Name, Nodes.NodeID FROM Nodes LEFT JOIN (SELECT CPULoad_Detail.NodeID, MAX(CPULOad_Detail.DateTime) as LastCPU FROM CPULOad_Detail GROUP BY CPULoad_Detail.NodeID) c1 on Nodes.NodeID = c1.NodeID WHERE (Nodes.Status = 1 OR…

Am I allowed to say this? I saw some mockups. All I can say is, I WAS BLOWN AWAY.

Any chance we will be able to alert when we see traffic originate on a particular port, perhaps even more specifically from a particular host? We'd like to do this: if traffic on port X then execute script to grab all running processes on the originating endpoint via netstat and send that along with username and endpoint…

Very nice to see these two on the list: Remote Collector Replace syslog/trap with the functionality from our new Log Manager product And intrigued by Next Generation Orion Mapping - next version

This would be fantastic jhynds wrote: On a related node, displaying the connector associated with each node is something we're also discussing as part of the Node Management UI.

Agreed

One of my feature requests made the list. Happy Days! Also looking forward to the dynamic baselining amoung the others! Any chance more Juniper HW info will make it into the product? For instance POE Controller Firmware version and or JLOADER version information.

Got it. Thx, works as expected. I did try to uncomment the custom query search code: -- if you want to use this query in a search box of the Custom Query resource uncomment the below line and n.Caption like '%${SEARCH_STRING}%' but it returned nothing when run. Any ideas?

I've built a custom report based on a Advanced Database Query using SWQL as the Query Type. All works as expected except the current icon status and clickable link. They just show text in the reports. Any ideas?

We too feel your pain. I can only tell you what we have done, which is to buy SecureCRT. It has the ability to register itself on the system to handle ssh:// protocol handlers. It's been working very well for us. Of course, we'd really like to see a build in web tool that pops up and allows us to perform the requested…

Nice listing of unused interfaces and total count reports for last 30 days. To bad NCM doesn't allow you to enter parameters at report runtime. Then the date could be flexible!

Just got it working. Visially not what we were expecting, but still very useful, especially the port information.

We are running 10.1 on Win2k8 R2. We have a second Win2k8 R2 server running SQL 2008 (not R2). Our experience is similar (2 minutes seems long, even to us). We recently rebuilt our servers for the same reason, But our old servers were horrendously slow, much worse than they are now. For us it was a combination of slow and…

Ok, since no one responded to my initial question, let me ask - is anyone monitoring the types of mobile devices that connect to their exchange servers?

Update - adding the DHCP address space did indeed resolve the issue. We are also seeing duplicate alerts from the SAM Windows DHCP Server template which is now my area of focus. I'm still curious why DHCP Scope Name isn't an available alert property.

Shows up running Win7 64bit, IE8 32bit. What happens if you change the Show from Currently loaded add-ons to All add-ons? Does it even show then?

Having Orion performance issues since installing the RC. Posted in RC thread. No response. Posting here as well in case it was missed over there.

You export to the machine running NTA / NPM.

I usually hit the solarwinds.com site once a week for some reason or another. Usually looking for product info, updates, patches or knowledge base articles. Oh and those pesky MIB files. I think I joined thwack about 6 months after I inherited a Solarwinds install. I try to visit daily but there are periods where I am not…

Looking at this one as well. I can alert if the state is not equal to Active or Standby but then an alert is always active on one of the nodes. Need a state change / way to look at current value and one previous value. Anyone?

We were bit by this too. I did ask that a bug report be filed, but we went down the <rename the interface in orion> route to solve the problem. Looking forward to hearing that a fix is in place, so when we add additional interfaces, we don't have to worry about it again. John

Just saw this and just emailed you. Hope it's not to late
