This looks fantastic. Can't wait until the RC to test it out!
-
Did the enhanced Juniper inventory make it into the beta? If so, we will sign up. Also, any idea how far away an RC is?
-
How can we tell if we answered them all? I answered the questions from multiple machines.
-
Agreed. There should be new views on the network tab that group common items like these.

We use a Opnet (Riverbed now) AppResponse Xpert (ARX) platform do capture and slice and dice the packets. It actually uses wireshark to do some of the analysis, but it's great seeing the method you have shown above. Thanks for the great post.
-
Azure monitoring FTW. One question though. We use a 3rd party hosted Azure instance where we are just a tenant. We don't have full rights in the environment. Any chance we can still monitor it with Orion? So far in testing it looks like a no.

I thnk this is very much a needed capability. We don't own storage manager yet, but thin pools are where we are headed and I must say keeping an eye on them is one of our major concerns. OF course we are moving away from emc and to compellent, so I'm all in if compellent is included.

Thank you for letting us know and for keeping on top of it. Very much appreciated DanielleH !!!!

The customer improvements are much appreciated. Keep up the great work!

VOIP Checklist, what VOIP Checklist?

Thanks - updated post to include link.

every day is a horror story. I can't write about it, because I'm still living it.

Can't wait for the template usability improvements. While we don't edit templates regularly, I think this will really help because of that fact. On another note - what ever happened to printer monitoring - did it make the cut?…

Installed UDT 3.2.1 without issues. Was able to add new ports without rediscovery. Also fixed Total ports / ports used charts. Thank you very much for working with us on this one.
-
I asked for this over in the NTA RC forum too, but thought it makes sense to post here as not everyone has NTA but everyone is getting the new charts. Is there a chance we can get the ability to customize the colors on the new charts? The new colors are very monotone and not easily distinguishable IMO.

I just want to state the the SA / MAG does have a SSH CLI via Netconf and as such it should be possible fo Solarwinds to extend NCM to use this interface to backup the devices.
-
Shall we play a game? where's the spark plug?
-
Much needed. Currently this has to be controlled via alert filtering and I think that's totally the wrong place to do it. I'd also like to see these thresholds presented in the manage nodes page so that we could see all nodes and there thresholds in one spot to adjust as needed. I'd hate to have to dig in to each node to…

And for all you Juniper folks, we're also planning on supporting sampled jFlow. Stay tuned for more updates about beta builds in the near future! Oh happy day! My Juniper gear will no longer feel like the red headed step child that no one wants to acknowledge is at the party.
-
And just after I finally memorized our Customer # Seriously, this is great and very much appreciated. It's been a long time but worth the wait.
-
I'm hoping this makes it into the next release. Would really love to have Aruba support day one like Cisco, in the future.
-
We'd be really happy if the licensing worked through authenticating proxy servers. Right now we have to do it all manually.
-
Ahh, there's the catch. You have to do is using NETCONF. Which means an API. You can't just connect via a SSH client. Links below to pointers on how to do this: Pretty sure I have a feature request out there asking SW to support the NETCONF standard. Please add your request to it. Juniper Networks - [SSL VPN/UAC/MAG] DMI…

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet -> "With this being said, we have expanded device support for many of our tools to other Cisco OS’s but also Juniper, which was the most highly requested vendor."
-
Good point. Just a suggestion - if you guys could somehow offer the betas as a complete VM that would help us a lot. Taking the time of building a RC box is one of the reasons we stay away.
-
If this gets implemented, Juniper support would be nice too.
-
Sooo, when I tried to grab this I got: Not Found The item does not exist. It may have been deleted.
-
Is Printer Status Monitoring still on the board to get implemented?
-
Has this made it into consideration yet? We're looking at ripping out 4 sites with Cisco controllers and putting in Aruba Instant. Without being able to see the Virtual Controller in Orion it's going to make a just a wee bit inconvenient.
