  • Thanks Lorenzo, that took care of it. The geek it me wants to know the rationale behind this working. Or should I just stick with my routers and switches and leave the regex up to others. :) Thanks again...that's been bugging me.
  • I am trying to work through this exact issue right now on NCM 6.1. (Reference rangertdc replied on 06-01-2009 3:43 PM post) Using the supplied regex expressions, and verified with what Chris pointed out earlier in the thread. Is there an update to this or another thread with an answer? I'm thinking opening a ticket for…
  • Are the Arista switches mentioned above going to be added in a future release? Thanks,
  • Hi Mav, I am trying to accomplish the following. Example network 10.10.10.0/24 is not routed, nor reachable from the IPAM server. IP address 192.168.5.1 is the MGMT IP of the switch that the above network resides on. 192.168.5.1 is reachable via IPAM, as well as the rest of the 192.168.5.x/24 network. I would like to…
  • Have requested the case number from support. This would be really nice to have.
  • Hi, I would like to add having options for report layouts. Instead of just a chart, how bout graphs? Management likes to see graphs, nice colorful graphs. :) When checking network latency etc within the app we have graphs, this should extend to reports as well. thanks,
  • Ohh yes. Being able to schedule a scan based on day/time/frequency etc is being asked about right now internally. It would be ideal if this could be done for ICMP and neighbor scanning (SNMP). Subnet a.b.c.d - scans M T W T F at 11pm via ICMP. Subnet e.f.g.h - scans Every Day, once every 30 minutes, via SNMP. Being able to…
  • Thanks Questionario. I manually entered the non-routed network in IPAM, put the MGMT IP of the switch as it's neighbor and it populated. Looks like the limitation is if the device is actually in the ARP table at the time of the scan...yes?
  • Nice to know. :) I'm just a Network guy, but since this system uses SQL..I know from our server guys we can populate IP info on this non-routed network into SQL. If we populated the Orion IPAM SQL database file with this info would it should up in the application? This is where my SQL/app ignorance comes in. :)
  • Hi Mav, Do you think this will ever be in the product? Asking because this has come up here during our trial. Thanks, Jason
  • Hi, Are there any updates on what possibly could be on a new release and/or when that could be available? thanks, J
  • Is it possible to schedule a scan on date/time/interval, instead of minutes/hours/days? If not, I would like to make this a feature request. We have a job that manually goes out and updates the arp tables of a non-routable subnet at say 5pm everyday. I would like to neighbor scan this subnet at 5:05pm everyday. I guess…
  • Having the same issue. Subnets which are populated using neighbor scanning are not returning hostnames. The server which IPAM is installed on successfully resolves the IP's though. Routable subnets are working fine with DNS. Any ideas? J
