I had the same issue a few months back. It ends up being a DNS/Cert issue. The job is running on the local NPM host system. It's name of that system is most likely different than the FQDN. So the job cannot complete as the job is receiving a Cert error. What you can do is to rebuild the job and when it places the host…

I know of no good reason to monitor either of these interfaces. I typically turn off monitoring of them to conserve database space, polling and other resources. I also turn off monitoring of unrouted VLANs. But that's me.

I like them. Easier to use. I like the histogram look of the last 'x' number of days along the bottom. Please add more. I'd like to see them for other charts (I chart the number of SSL VPN users for instance - be nice to have the same for something like that).

What version of NPM are you using? I was having DB compaction issues and opened a ticket. They replied it was a known problem and suggested upgrading (I was using 10.3, they recommended 10.3.1). This did fix my problems.

To resolve this I did two things. One of which may not be required for your circumstances. The thing you need to do is to use the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) in the URL for the report. Otherwise the job will receive a certificate error (you cannot see this as it's the job running in the background) and fail.…

Is it a newer Samsung with built in browsing and wired/wireless Internet connectivity? If so, get the monitor set up with an IP and allow it into your Solarwinds system (firewalls, etc).
