Great! Could really use support for the small business series devices!
-
Now 3.11.6 has solved the SSH login issue with the newer Cisco smallbusiness switches (SG / SFx50 series), it would be nice to have also other reports available for these switches, for example the Report Version table

[View:/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.UserFiles/00.00.07.78.49/debug_2D00_cattools.txt] I hope this works. This is not a direct copy-paste, i anonamized some text. If you can give me a direct email address or some other means of non-public file transfer i can supply you with the real stuff.

This turned out to be an issue on the ws5100 device. In the telnet character echo the device itself returned a <cr><cr><lf> on the 80th position, making the cattools engine mismatching the send string and the echoed string. There was a "terminal width" cli command that defines this point, so i included "terminal width 120"…

Hi Steve, Thanks again for your quick reply. I added a notepad document, or at least i think i did just that. Just to be sure i also paste it here: 2011-05-31 12:56:48 3-Info 0 Kiwi CatTools Service Performing activity - Run Now 2011-05-31 12:56:48 3-Info 0 Kiwi CatTools Service Loading activity: Show arp table MobKits.…

Cattools 3.11.6 has solved this issue
-
I'll just answer my owen question: yes it is. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/KSS/Content/System_Requirements/kss_9-7_system_requirements.htm

I have filed an enhancement request with the support team.
-
I created a support ticket for this issue. In the mean time i will try to reduce the length of the string that is sent to the device.

Is Kiwi syslog server version 9.7.0 supported on Windows 2019?
-
Thanks, i will try that as a workaround. Since these devices / activity / cattools version are formally supported and are "green" in the support matrix i would expect this to work without needing any workarounds.

There is no error, just a "waiting for response" and then a "no response received after 3000ms" message in the status bar of the Device Information window. At the same time the Telnet/SSH button works nicely, and i KNOW for sure that the device is pingable. What happens exactly "underneath" when the Ping button is pressed,…

Yes, the windows ping command works when started as a normal user. There is no difference in using the windows ping command using as administrator or as user.

Thanks for your prompt reply Chris, I think that would be a bit impactical, since the OID numbers range from 1 to 450 on this 6513 chassis (checked with Getif) and the snmp job only has place for 5 OID's. There are 6 48-port blades (300 physical interfaces) plus a multitude of vlan's, port-channels etcetera. The table…

Hi Steve, Thanks for your quick reply. Hi Steve, I found that our software maintenance contract for Cattools EE is expired, so i guess i'll have to work on that first with Solarwinds and our management. In the mean time i'll also give some device output here. System image file is "flash:c1841-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T7.bin" router-name#sh ip vrf Name Default…

Bump.... Question is still open. Opened a case with Support. Got the answer that it will be solved in a future release and for now that i would have to downgrade the software of the switch. Is there anybody having a workaround for this ?

Should be possible with cattools 3.10.. ?
