Mark I've followed your instructions and those in the link but its still going straight into Cirrus without asking for login credentials. I've noticed that there is already an account setup in manage user and its the account that is used to access the switches and also the account I use to login to the server Cirrus is on.…

Thanks, will there ever be a 64 bit version of Orion?
-
Thanks for the info, unfortunately the server we've got only has a single disk for OS etc and 3 disks for Data. So would RAID 5 be the best solution? Thanks

When I was doing my NPM training I asked the trainer the question and he said that the official line is 8000 elements but he's seen pollers polling 15k on decent hardware and also by heavily tuning the polling and stats intervals and of course any changes you make you need to re-run the polls per second tuning app.

Thanks for this it worked a treat. Surely there must be a way within NPM itself for it to have some logic around volume ID's and removing redundant once particularly as you can un-tick the volumes in the resource list and it still shows the old volumes, resizing volumes in VM is not an uncommon occurrence and this is going…

We only ever use Command scripts as we don't make changes on the fly and most are done overnight so we need the automation. Jon

Thanks for that Guru it will come in very handy.

No I haven't made any progress and can;t fathom out the MIBS to try and extract it.
-
Has this functionality been integrated into NPM yet? Thanks Jon

I would like the ability to print off the NetPath and also have the ability run a report and display in a table each hop with associated information over a selected time period.
-
JB No I haven't, I thought there must be some way of doing filtering but couldn't find it. I'll take another look. Thanks Jon

Never seen this issue before and no other jobs are running. The odd thing is if I download a 2960 config its fine try the 6509 straight after and it fails with the errors and then if I try another 2960 straight after that its fine.
-
Nope haven't noticed any problems with CPU utilisation, all I do know is that the custom pollers on our remote polling engine are working fine its only on our main Orion box that we are seeing big gaps in the data collection. Jon

David, Thanks for thr response and info. The way I would like to see it work would be that when you start the TFTP server for the first time it and if you had multiple NIC's it would ask which NIC you would like to bind the server to then from that point onwards if you were using it as a service it would always use that…

Thanks Tony, I'm on 11.5. Your correct it would probably work better using a interface level custom property. What do I need to change the script so I can change them back to down instead of unplugged? Thanks Jon

I've got the same problem with our 5525 on IOS 8.6(1)2 and got someone from support looking at it and have sent over a MIB walk to see what the issue is and how to fix it and from early mail from support it's Cisco changing the templates in 8.4 which is causing the issue but they're still looking into it.

I presume there's nothing stopping us from using generic or direct link accounts with the toolset licensing so multiple users can use a single license?
-
Thanks, how do I create an IFrame?
-
I'm getting the same error message as above.

Does the stack functionality support 2960X stacks? Thanks
-
So three years since the what we're working on was updated and still nothing, my mistake 1 update to allow installation onto Windows 2016 earlier this year. The GUI is looking incredibly tired, some of the tools themselves are out of date. What are Solarwinds playing at.

Brilliant works a treat and I can confirm it works with NPM 10.7 and SAM 6.1. Presuambly the code needs adding after a version upgrade?
-
Its the command on the CLI that downloads the tar file to the switch.
-
Great to see improvements for Cisco stacks but there's no mention of the 2960X will this be included in the feature update?
-
Its a great resource, thanks. Has anyone done this with LLDP as our Wireless doesn't support CDP but does support LLDP? I've tried to do a custom poller but can't get the interfaces to display correctly. Thanks Jon

Haley We currently run TACACS+ of our ACS v4.0(1) appliance. Jon We are looking at upgrading to the latest version of ACS in the next month or so.

All sorted needed to run as administrator.

Just tried installing and it fails after the light or full install option, the error says oops...we detected a problem - Specified custom product/component [NPM] was not found in product catalog.
