We're still not touching it and considering whether or not to drop the maintenance contract when its renewed next year. For a product that's meant to integrate multiple pollers into a single interface, while it sort of does this, the feature set of what functionality it has is tiny in comparison to NPM and its modules…

I'll believe it when I see it, it's now been almost 2 years since an upgrade of Toolsets and its really showing its age. You've got a lot of convincing to do for us to carry on paying for support for Toolsets and this comes up for renewal in March and after having no upgrade for 2 years by March we're not going to be…

That's NCM 5.5 as well?

Thanks saved me from giving them full admin access, I did wonder why an account with node management rights couldn't see node discovery and there wasn't a view for it either.
-
I've tried looking for the report and can't find it.

Thanks Jtimes

I would definately look at installing PHP if this resource was made available the only thing I would have to say is that the install of the resource and config on PHP would have to be idiot proof as our web guys won't support PHP and I have little to no knowledge of PHP. Thanks Jon

Making a change to the DB maintenance and enabling index fragmentation on Friday hasn't made any difference to the fragmentation levels.
-
Thanks for the info Jan, I've made the changes to the DB so hopefully that will sort the problems out.

I want to be able to monitor the response time to open a connection for two ports 7000 and 7001 from a Windows server to a Unix server. Thanks

I thought the issue with multiple interfaces on a single node was now resolved as I worked with support over this issue with our 6509 VSS stack and they sent over a patch that resolved it? Thanks Jon

That worked a treat the only problem now is that it lists the CPU and Memory ustilisation in the same resource but I've already got these being displayed as a graph, is there anyway of only displaying the Serial and firmware revision? Thanks

1. Report Writer - possibly use the Crystal reporting engine as we currently use Crystal to run some of our more complex reports and it works great and give us the exact figures we need. 2. NPM - Web enabled frontend so new devices can be added through an admin section on the web site and also manage existing devices. 3.…

That's strange. Could you post a screenshot of where it is showing v9 sp2?

Great work, I've got the table sorted but when I look at it in NPM I have HSRP State Labe which displays a number which is meaning less but the HSRP state works fine, how can I display something meaningful in the first column? Thanks
-
Matt I've tried adding www.cisco.com and www.google.com and get the same error for both, these both work if I use the lightweight http monitor but not the user experience monitor. Thanks Jon
-
Thanks for that, you were exactly right it was any instead of all.

Thanks Derek that worked a treat.

Thanks David, how do I get it to open the login page directly in the custom HTML without having the link? Jon

What I'm looking for is to pull netstat output into NPM for a specified server.
-
If you look in the content exchange for NCM scripts I've uploaded the script we use for firmware upgrades.

Yes

Thanks Haley Is there any way of automating the process? Thanks Jon
-
Thanks, that worked a treat.

Jeff Its only 8000 elements and not devices, also by my calculations if I was to remove the interfaces from our edge switches 76 in total, it would remove 3648 interfaces which is over a third of all the current elements. This would surely reduce load on the server? Jon

Peter That makes better sense thanks, I presume its NPM hotfix 2 for 11.5.2 that I need to install to get QoE for free? Thanks Jon
-
Thanks for the reply, I had already managed to do this but some nodes have 5 interfaces connected to other nodes on the WAN so it would start to look messy or look to small to be of use, what I was hoping for was the same sort of idea but between the two nodes concerned rather than individual interfaces and then select the…

Sorted out the problem thanks, it was a username issue I had forgotten to put the domain name before the username. Is there anyway of un-staring the username, I can understand why the password is starred but not the username? Thanks Jon
