We had this issue and supports repsonse was turn offf node monitoring and this will stop the lag when Cirrus is started which it did but it caused another major problem with this is that if you add a new node with monitoring off that node will not be discovered and you will get an SNMP error, support are working on a fix.…

That's hardly an upgrade to allow Windows 2016 to work there's still been no functionality or GUI updates and still nothing from the PM on what's up and coming and when we're likely to see it. To me its shocking to leave customers hanging with no direction for the product being announced particularly when the main product…

Gob That works a treat in v8.1. Thanks Jon

Officially there is no limit to the pollers capacity it comes down to the frequency of the polling and stats collection and of course the hardware. You could have 15k elements but only poll every 5 minutes and pull stats every hour and the poller would cope but if you had 8k elements polled every 1 minute and pulled stats…

Mark I've come in this morning and checked the stats and I'm seeing big holes in the data again since the early hours of Saturday morning so it would seem the repair worked for a short while and it's now broken again. Thanks Jon

I've got about 100 custom pollers of which 90% never change there info they are things like serial numbers and tag id's the other 10 % are mainly UPS and a couple of Firewall pollers where it's tracking a temp probe or connections in use. It would seem that it's only happening on my main Orion server, our remote poller…

Definitely number 5, I've given up using the discovery process because of HOW cumbersome it is to use, if it could be automated like the NPM discovery but would only import criteria based devices and exclude duplicates that would be perfect. At the moment I manually add mine and it takes forever but is easier and quicker…

I've talked to sales but nothings happened, I've discussed with them the problems as we see it with the way licensing is priced for Orion modules and that only having 5 netflow devices and also only wanting 500 monitors for applications didn't get me very far with the price it still came out way over the cost that were…

Denny Thanks for the info, just to confirm its the stats side of the collection we should concentrate on when deploying number of elements? So if I ping a number of devices every minute but only pull stats every 15 minutes I could get 8000 or more elements on a poller dependant on hardware etc? Also we're looking at moving…

So if the statistic data is showing 115 thats the length of time I assume in seconds to complete the transfer? Thanks

Bryan I don't know if these are exactly what your looking for but I pulled them out of our IPMonitor install MIB search function 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.18.2.1.1 Cisco-QOS-PIB-MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.159.1 CISCO-QOS-POLICY-CONFIG-MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.37.1 CISCO-QUEUE-MIB There's a lot of tables in these MIBs so I don't know how much…

No, I didn't get any custom pollers working with the WLC but I haven't tried since I upgraded to the latest version of the controller software.

Citrix we use both website forms based login and the standard desktop Citrix client and RDP is just a desktop client. It would be good if the monitor not only looked at the port but also logged into a particular RDP or Citrix session and returned the time it took for the login process. A lot of our applications are going…

Presumably this will only work if we have SNMP access to the router provided by the Telco so we can actually monitor the WAN interface?

Tom I'm looking at using the ICMP Path Jitter operation, are there any specific requirements on the firewall I need to take into account open up specific ports inbound\outbound? Thanks Jon

When I look at one of our ESX server I get all the normal node details stuff + a list of VM's that are on that box in the bottom left corner. What I don't get are the pretty looking graphs of VM mem, cpu usage, network usage etc.

You've sort of got the idea of what I want to do and its probably my fault as it doesn't come over well in the question anyway, I'll have two SLX installs on different sites monitoring different devices but I want the base config of both to be identical and the only way I can see to do that is to copy one config to the…

Thanks Brian, I though it shouldn't be to difficult to achieve. I just need someone to give me an idea of the script to run as I'm not SQL programmer.
-
It would be good if this could be a standard feature like it is with map tooltips, surely it can't be that difficult to implement given that this was first raised in 2010 and NPM has come on so far since then.

Issue has now been logged with support Case #247296.

Chris, I've had a look and can't find them could you point me in the right direction? Thanks Jon

If you have a look in the Content Exchange someone has kindly created a UnDP for CDP neighbours.

Can't you use the SNR information to give RSSI info? WLSX-SWITCH-MIB1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.1.2.2.1.7.0.28.191.199.164.81.0.36.108.45.173.232SNR or the BSSID.46

Peter If I was to create a device say a server and unticked everything because all I want to do is monitor a telnet session does that mean I'm using 2 monitor licenses or does the device in itself not use a monitor license? Is it possible to create a device and move an imported montior onto that device so it makes…

I did have a call open but then went on leave and the call was closed and I'm now up to my eye balls in work and not on site most of next week so will log a call when I get a chance.

The devices are on a LAN and connected to Cirrus via a 1gig WAN.

That was it. Thanks.

I have to agree, I had a good long look at the config after our first disastorous go at RTCD and re-enabled it on Monday. But come Wednesday the server had crashed again as it couldn't cope with the number of changes that were being made, were just in the process of re-addressing our network and putting everyone into…

I pushed out a one line config change to all our switches before I had configured RTCD. I've logged a call #62768 and sent over the RTN.log. Thanks

Thanks, CTRL + Enter worked for me.
