I've installed the trial and I can confirm this feature works 2960X stacks the only thing it fails to monitor is each individual switch CPU and memory utilisation.
-
I'm in Lincolnshire, so Birmingham, Nottingham or Leeds would be good for me and very interested in attending a SWUG
-
Any improvement needs to include the 2960X switches.
-
The upgrade went fine and no differences between trial and production. All our 2960X and 3750 stacks all automatically displayed the stack details.

It probably took a couple of hours

Oh god its Brexit all over again :-). If Firepower isn't supported they'll blame PA for all the issue in the world today. LOL
-
No CS1K support??
-
On the trial its working a treat, I'm looking at upgrading our production environment in the next couple of weeks.
-
Great additions, will you be adding support for Nortel\Avaya kit?
-
This is great thanks.

I completely trust my family to always be there when i need help.

Oh good so to possibly fix one issue, I could potentially give myself a lot more by upgrading to 8.5.1. I think I'll install in a test environment and see how it goes.
-
We currently automatically on a weekly basis export the archive out to another server thats part of a SAN and gets backed up on a daily basis.

Changed my default view to by device type and it worked a treat. If I want to setup further custom node views for other devices is there any criterea I need to follow or do I just need to create it as a node details view? Thanks
-
Do you know if the fix is for 8.5.1 or any v8 release?
-
So why then if they know it's a bug and it's fixed in 8.5 do I have to go through running the Orion diagnostics and sending them over to Solarwinds support and eventually get a mail back saying it's a bug and it should be fixed in 8.5. Jon
-
How can that be justified when we as a customer currently have 13,000 elements which requires us to purchase the SLX edition of Orion but only have five 6509 chassis that are capable of Netflow these in turn have 500 elements between them so only 3.8% of the overall but we've got to go and spend £8,300. This is the reason…

This worked for me, how soon before you get a fix as it's annoying having to wait for all the devices to be monitored and then for the new switches to be discovered? Thanks Jon

There used to be the ability in NCM that you could see the last time an interface was used on a switch, but in the transition from fat GUI to Web GUI they dropped the functionality from NCM and put it into UDT or it was already present in UDT. We lost a very useful part of NCM and our techs are still bleating about it…

If you are familiar with RRD functionality, that would be awesome. I think it would be nice to allow it to auto-scale by default but have the option to override that with a Min & Max. This is all just thinking out loud and off the cuff. I second this, I get so frustrated particularly when CPU utilisation is between 0 & 10%…

I've currently got exactly the same problem trying to add two Cat 2960 and had a Solarwinds support rep looking at the switch config and Cirrus config to see if if there were any obvious problems, he's asked for a screen shot of the error and what IOS rev the switches are on presumably to see if it's a bug in IOS. But as I…

Haley Any time frame on when this release will be available? Thanks Jon
-
Kenny Upgraded to v9 sp2 and I can now setup an advanced reboot alert. Thanks Jon
-
I'm only running v8 so it must be something new in v9 as I cannot import definitions either. I'm looking at upgrading as soon as Solarwinds put my new poller on my download list. Thanks for your help. Jon
-
I had this same issue and had to change my concurrent downloaded configs from 20 to 10 and the problem went away. HTH
-
If you go to the content exchange there's a couple of people that have posted Cisco Serial Number UnDP and other Cisco pollers that don't exist natively in NPM. HTH Jon

It's a matter of how NetFow operates. Although you only have NetFlow turned on on 0.03% of your infrastructure you could have flows from every endpoint on you network being recorded by those devices. So selling by device leaves no measure for what scale you need. I do however think Solarwinds are cutting out a fair…

Apart from the ESX details table the only difference to normal node details view is whats in the screen capture. I've also had a look at the ESX Nodes details view and it has the VM graph resources enabled but they just don't get displayed.

I've got our 5505, 5520 and 5525's downloading configs successfully, it took a while to do it but it worked in the end. SNMP v2, SSH auto for the transfers, TACACS for the credentials and Enable 15 works fine for us. The 5505, 5525 were straightforward but the 5520 was a dog but got it working in the end. I changed the SSH…
