Yeah, Chromebooks are convenient, but what I am really holding out for are the dual OS devices with Android and Windows. Totally agree. I don't ever see the low-tech hard copy option ever completely going away. I sometimes prefer the look feel of an actual book.

This question can't easily be answered until you determine what exactly she will be using it for, now and in the near future. I know you mentioned mostly online stuff, but you should dig a little deeper and see what she does beyond that. Not having access to a certain application she needs or loves can be a deal breaker. *…
