Where is the resource impact from letting it run without stopping processing? That machine is well overpowered, or does it cause too much network traffic?
-
Not sure how kiwi will help with website performance?
-
I'm putting the ticket in, I'll let you know how it turns out.
-
That was the first thing I checked. I changed to ICMP then went back to SNMP and got through.
-
lol on that Dilbert - I hadn't seen that one before

My 'Polling Rate' is at 134% right now. As far as I know, that's just a basic numbers calculation that orion does based on 12k elements, not a measurement of performance. My 'Polling Completion' rate stays at 100(%) 99.5 percent of the time. It will drop to 99.9 or 99.8 on occasion and what that results in is a miniscule…

Actually doubling the 'old points' does sound like a reasonably fair idea scottyplo Points are easier to get now with the monthly missions and the point prices can reflect the market including the newer opportunities going forward.
-
Yea scottyplo ,100 points away would really burn me. I was going to have enough after this month's mission for the backpack myself. So I'm disappointed it will take me longer, but I'll deal with it. I may have forgone the polo and went straight for the backpack first. But being that close? 100 points from the backpack? I…

alright, fair enough

It's set to once a day.

I re-created the jobs and they appear to be working properly now. Not an ideal resolution, but a happy outcome nonetheless.

I do this and it is really handy for devices that are replaced. I would like to be able to [check] Routing/Routing table as part of this selection. If the absence of not being a way to do this otherwise? Is there some way to do this?
-
@"sja" speaks wise we went through the same thing about a month ago after lots of head-banging I finally called support
-
This is completely insane. How is this not a system-wide option?
-
You were/are correct. Somewhere before my time people stopped entering the ip flow-export line for the NPM server in the config of the switches/routers. Everything added after x date has no data due the the config on those devices. I will have to have them update all of these and we should be good to go.
-
I have plenty of information for about 7000+ interfaces in netflow. Most of them report data just as advertised. I have a few problem children though. In addition to the one above. I have a device that is in netflow with no data. We have the orion db on it's own server. Does netflow have it's own proprietary db where the…

Boom, came right through! Thanks christopher.t.jones123

I like it. I like it a lot! You're a good man wluther

We are running 11.5.2. I have it stuck the first possibility currently. The mem usage gauge is off the chart and causing unnecessary alerts that i believe it the cause of this. I was considering your second possibility as the only thing i could think of. IE: Unmanage and rename the node to ,LOC_RO_1_OLD for example. Add…

Perfect. Thank you!

Yes, I agree with silverbacksays, but I would not stack anything and have an additional polling server (or two) . I saw jullex67 was going to have 5 additional polling engines and thought wow! Unless there is a geographical need to spread out the polling engines I think that's overkill. However, they may just be…
-
Perfect, that's what I assumed. I will get someone from the networking team to alter the config on their device. Thank you!
-
I tried to get this working but failed. Can you please give me some step by step info?

New devices have been auto selecting this resource when adding and I have had no trouble yet.
-
Yes I am using SNMPv3. At least it is showing me Cisco now instead of nothing. Where are you talking about with Communication and Auto Determine?
-
Already using SNMPv2. Good thought though, thanks.
-
Ok, I updated the MIB DB, it had been awhile to be fair. Restarted all services and did a rediscover a few times on that node and Machine Type is still blank. * Actually it does say Cisco now, I think it was completely blank before. *

So if I set it to Never Stop Processing, will it finish over a period of time and then I can set it back to normal recommended settings?

Hi guys, 1. I use RTCD to notify the entire networking group so they can verify and move quickly if something is amiss. 2. I should run a comparison to find if any changes have not been saved. 3. We want backups of any changes for over a year and I don't want umpteen many files. Yea they are not that big. Yea I can zip.…
