Huh, that is weird. What version of code are you running on the 3002 Concentrator? Sorry it isn't working for you. If I can think of a way to modify it for you, I'll let you know. But, let me know at least what code you are running.

i can't vouch for a template that you modified, and it appears that the template that you modified isn't even mine, but if you go to the content sharing zone, download my template, and follow the instructions that i have layed out, it will work. the settings must be set to telnet, telnet, tftp. if that isn't the way it was…

Template has been uploaded to the Content Sharing Zone

No prob. I am now working on getting it integrated with RTD. I am also working on creating a WLC template for our wireless controller. Should I upload the VPN templare to the Content Sharing Zone?
-
Use my template and try again, but upload the session-trace file.

The only issue is that it does not appear that the 3002 is capable of doing TFTP. It is only capable of something similar to a "show running-config" for a router IOS. I am working on a template specific for the 3002, but do not know when it will be available. As far as the code being run on the 3002, it is the same version…

Bryan, I looks like to me that the test template that was provided by SolarWinds has some flaws to it. It looks like it thinks that the VPN is IOS and first trys to use the RESET command using the terminal length and width statements. In my template, I fixed that. It also appears that it is trying to download the config…

Would adjusting this telnet setting affect all telnet connection that the Cirrus attempts with any device, i.e. is it a global change? I think I could live with the VPN timing out and everything else working properly, then if I change the setting and it affected everything. I thought I could put something in the template…

I tried removing the RESET command yesterday, but it did a default RESET using the terminal width and length statements. So what I did was keep the RESET command in the template, but have no value for it. After I did that, it goes straight to entering the commands for download. Here is my template. As stated before, it…

I figured out my authorization issues and I was able to use my template to download the config. I removed my session-trace due to I forgot to remove my username and password, but it is working. The only issue I am having now is it is timing out between commands, but it eventually TFTP's the config and I am able to view it…

Nope. Both are virtual and both are on the internal LAN. They both talk with the SQL database on our corporate SQL cluster, which also houses many other app tables. That is why our dba is always nervous whenever I need to run the config wizard :).

Thanks for uploading a test template, but I have a few questions about the template. 1. In step three, why does the template input the value "q?" It is not an available option in the menu at the time. 2. The template places quotation marks between ${StorageFileName} and ${CRLF}. Why? 3. The RESET command is using the…

The reboot fixed the issue. I forgot to mention that before the reboot, I also checked all server logs and none of them showed any issues. I have been using the same .jpg and haven't added or removed a large amount of nodes from the network map in over 3 years, so why would only one of my web servers show the "1" and one…

Thanks aLTeReGo! I just added "null" to the script body and it is now working, calling the script locally.

I just experienced the same issue. Funny thing is that I have two web servers, and only one did it. They are both showing the same .jpg and .orionmap, but now one is displaying a "1" instead of the network map. I have tried bouncing IIS and orion services. I am now trying to reboot the box.

Chris, After upgrading my web-only server with the integration module, I also received the same error, ONLY on my web-only server. The normal polling server web interface would display the content properly. I checked the credentials that were being used on the polling server and they were windows domain account…

I was able to load the script locally on the linux server and run it with the service account. It works. The script is loaded in the home/serviceaccount/programs directory. I cannot however seem to edit the APM linux script monitor to not have any script body. I have tried deleting the script body and adding perl…

I just tried to unsuccessfully download the config from the VPN 3005 using the SNMP/TFTP option. I am able to pull all the info of the VPN 3005 and it displays the correct machine type "Altiga Networks" and system OID "1.3.6.1.4.1.3076.1.2.1.1.2.1. Once I try to download the config, it displays the message, "This device is…

To view config, similar to the process that Cirrus uses for Cisco IOS the steps would be: 1. Telnet to device 2. Log In 3. Type 2 for Administration 4. Type 8 for File Management 5. Type 3 to View File 6. Type the file that you wish to view, which would be "Config" 7. Config file is displayed in chucks with "space bar"…

Also, enabling session-trace logging would be beneficial. It might generate a large number of trace files, depending on how many devices your job will run against, but it might provide some useful data. Let me know what you find out as I also have the same issue. I have 800+ nodes.
-
Also, how would that affect what I need to enter on the "command" line in APM? Would this script need to be converted into a shell script?
-
I am not the greatest with scripts. How would I get the script I have listed loaded on the linux server? I appreciate the assistance.

It doesn't seem like I am trying to recreate the wheel here. All I want to do is trigger an action immediately during business hours, and delay for 30 minutes during non-business hours, to see if the issue clears itself. A feature request seems like the only answer here. Thanks everyone.

I would be interested in knowing the status of an "export current config" button from Orion Web console. As goofzig stated, we need a centralized permissions controlled location for config files. Some sort of button, or custom URL to "fake" Orion would be highly useful. This was a feature available when we used CiscoWorks.…

It is not optional if you require syslog over TCP. Fortigate UTM's support two types of delivery, UDP 514 and TCP using RFC3195. So yes technically it is optional if have the choice between UDP and TCP. However in our case, we do not have that choice. We have to use TCP, and Kiwi does not look to support it. I have…

Sure. I will post the template for the WLC that I created. The template only allows for config download, nothing else. It is a direct config download using telnet, so the communication settings should be set to all telnet. I tried getting the ssh to work, but I ran into log in issues with the Cirrus. The cool thing about…

Yes, it is command-line menu driven. I believe the entire VPN3000 suite is all that way. Cool. If you hear back from support, do you think you could let me know and/or forward the template my way? I would appreciate it. Thanks for the reply.

So if I am understanding you correctly, the devices that are having the issue are geographically in another location from Cirrus, and a Gig WAN connection is used to communicate. Is this correct? What sort of WAN connection is it? I would assume possibly Metro E if it is a gig connection. Is there any bottlenecking on this…

I have now fixed my issue. Even though the web server account as well as my domain account had permissions to the share on the polling server and I was able to unc from the web server, it was failing. The security audits finally showed that while you are logged into the webpage, IIS will forward all anonymous requests as…

I ran the integration module .exe on the web-only server and it seemed to install properly. I then tried to log into the web-only interface and it gave me an error: An error has occured with the Orion website. Additional Information System.Configuration.SettingsPropertyNotFoundException: The settings property…
