  • I didn't see it either but it *is* fixed.. at least it fixed the issue for me.
  • Actually, I think that'll work! I'll mess with it because I do want the map status to show up on the top (home) map page, but I'll use the Detach Resource pages for navigation. The new map url's are ugly, but I'll bet I can make this thing fly. Thanks!
  • No answers here, but yes I have the same problem. It's inconsistent between specific icons from a .vss file. Some work some don't. I've been into it down to the datasheet level in visio trying to find the difference, and no luck. I've combined 2 master shapes (one that worked, one that didn't) and the combined shape seems…
  • Maps are overall slower, but more consistent. My front map page, which is just a map with 20 submaps listed, takes 8-10 seconds now as opposed to 3-5 before. However, my office maps all take about 3-5 now, even the ones with circular references in them. Before, they took around 30 seconds to load, if they loaded at all.…
  • That'll work!! Thanks!!
  • Thank you MichalB. That does work for maps displayed in node or interface views. I can't get it to work in map views, or when clicking on a nested map on a map view. I'll start a post on that question, and leave this thread for first impressions. -J
  • Ah ha!! Yes, this is what happens when I type of things I haven't checked out for myself. :) Thanks, Denny! I'll check out NCM and see what it can do for us.
  • I would agree. Inverting the data is the best available answer, but there should be a few 'gas tank' style gauges available, or possibly the ability to invert the visual-style of all the gauges. From further reading on this site, I understand that SW uses a third party app to generate it's gauges, so I'll just drop this…
  • Thanks Chris! Denny actually suggested NCM for windows inventory after my attempts at writing a custom report out of NPM with bunch of UnDP's to get inventory information from varous (hp/ibm/dell) servers. NCM makes more sense as a place to keep the inventory function, as I don't want or need to 'monitor' the inventory…
  • Sotheris, Any chance you can post that SQL agent query? I'm going through the 'get UnDP data onto a map' scenario. I'm using a UnDP to query the amperage from a PDU, so would like to populate a custom property in the nodes table for my PDU's. I think it would run every 5 minutes, but there's only 30 or so PDU's so I don't…
  • I think it's broken for 9.5, due to a change in the way resources are handled. Here's the new line from a .resource file (bold). <!-- Title=Custom Poller - Radial Gauge --> <!-- Level=7 --> <!--#include Virtual=/NetPerfMon/scripts/Resource.asp --> <!--…
  • Overall: Good! Actually, for a .5 upgrade, I'd lean towards Great! Detaching Network Atlas from the Orion server is a nice win. I haven't explored the metrics thing yet, but it looks to be a great addition for the maps. Also like the better zoom view in NA. Gob's advanced syslog parser still works, which I didn't expect.…
  • 2) Agreed. This is possible now in ipMonitor, and I'd like to see it cross over to Orion. 3) If you're going to make changes to a database (add fields, change schema, etc.) then I don't know how you'd do it without SA or at least some additional dbase privileges. 4) YES. I would like to show each custom poller for a device…
