Hi, but the event does not show that the node goes down,it just mention that the node was stop responding. My problem is the alert will only trigger when te node goes down but from the event te node does not goes down...so I need to know how can th node goes down n trigger the alert

Hi Casey, actually i had set isilon storage server to send the snmp trap to the Solarwind Server, however at solarwind there does not received any things. Normally is there always will have SNMP traps sent or the trap will send only when something is trigger? Beside is that anyway that can i verify the traps is working?

Hi byrona, thanks for the clarify. However, I was curious about that i set the polling engine poll every 5 minutes, then set the alert evaluation frequency for every 6 minutes. It is ok for this configuration? Furthermore, i received 5 same sms at a same time when an alert had trigger. What probably is this cause?

Also, NPM can do all of it's polling without needing specific MIBs. Interface polling, CPU and Memory, and device descriptions are all handled without specific MIB's being specified.
