IMO 5-15 is pretty standard by the time the alerts are generated, tickets cut, and the engineer is engaged. Usually they are the bottleneck

I think if your organization is going to leverage AI, they need to leverage it with a clear and precise use case with well thought out guard rails in place. Can be a very useful tool, with the right input and modeling.

Kevin, Any chance you are going to be at Cisco Live in the next few weeks? I just got registered and booked myself.

The weekends have always been for changes in every environment I have ever worked in. Unless you are in a hard block window. Changes during the week, unless emergency related, are generally frowned upon. At least that has been my experience. Mid-week change is generally disastrous.

About a year ago I took a tour through one of Detroit's auto manufacturing plants. It made me realize the unique connection between IT and music as I watched all of the animatronics working in harmony to build these SUVs. It was quite fascinating and entrancing.

The only gaming I do now days is on my phone. Honestly, after 23 years in IT and with three kids at home.... the last thing on my mind is gaming or computers. I love a good balance of breaking away from that aspect of life.

From what I've seen, most organizations do not utilize a tool to its fullest potential.

Kevin, You guys did a great job of presenting and engaging us. When I set out to drive from Madison, WI to the Twin Cities I had planned on being a fly on the wall for two days but, you folks were so entertaining and engaging I didn't feel the need to "blend in". This was my first SWUG and since then I have found myself…

Any advice for API token rejection during this process?

As much as I am not a gamer anymore, this would be freaking cool to have. Love the setup.

The challenge I have ran into with this tool is switch stacks. For whatever reason it wants to lump several different machine types into generic categories: Has anyone identified a way to be able to eliminate the generic grouping? In particular, my inventory under "29xx Stack" has over 400 switches, it's way too much of an…

Cool. I am curious to see what you all have in-store.

Ain't that the truth. We spend so much time proving that the issue is not network related

I'll be there.

I used to manage an inventory of 800+ sites, 15k+ network CI's alone, along with a plethora of other departments that needed hand holding and babysitting to ensure they didn't break the automation loop we created that relied heavily on custom properties. I truly feel your pain, as it was like a 40 hour job weekly on top of…

Honestly, at times this community has been really solid with advice. To the point where I have spent very little time with support.

I can tell you this much, I think my organization over analyzes the changing landscape as we are constantly reviewing tools and changing directions as an organization

Always mute, never unmanage. If you unmanage you lose visibility until the device is remanaged.

Unfortunate I missed this, I used to be responsible for several SLO's such as network availability reporting which was based on an SLA between my organization and the client environment we managed.

Thanks. I really wish we had the ability to mash up modern and classic dashboards. I think that would be game changing because it would really expand the capabilities on what to display. I may have to go back to classic as I am not getting exactly everything I want with the modern.

Thanks. I am actually in the process of shaking things up a bit more. After speaking with Chrystal at the SWUG event last week she gave me some suggestions and I have been playing with my presentation a bit. Was hoping others would chime in and post what modern dashboard widgets they have created.

Giles, I am going to go out on a limb and guess that this never went anywhere? I would also like to create a report that shows current iOS revision and any recommended updates.

I think at this point I am convinced the most beneficial way to achieve the full extent of what I am looking for is via the ITOM module and integration with ServiceNow. Unfortunately, I need to be able to culminate some sort of intelligent response as to why. In example, node alerts at 12:01am generates action trigger,…
