But what I really want is a full suspension Mountain Bike. Something like a Trek Fuel 8.

Winning that standing desk would be amazing! I love how SolarWinds has such awesome prizes!

If they use proper statistical analysis it might work. But they should also provide a margin of error to the numbers. Surveys can be skewed if the participants are not random, i.e. the participants are hand picked to get the results the authors of the study want.

Is this still open? I.e. can we not change the polling interval for VM's still?

But if the hackers do anything I appreciate that Rickrolling was what they chose to do.

I love the description of the programmers who coded the DNC app, whether 100% true or not.

In the Halloween candy article... "‘Oh, I guess I’ll have one little fun-sized this and one little fun-sized that,’ but then it adds up over time." Why didn't I read that article before Halloween, and binging for the last week!

Whatever comes after quantum computing will probably find a way to build new universes.

sqlrockstar You are right, it made me hate you.

Thanks for posting these all together. I missed a couple of them until I saw them here.

There are many "Bambi moms" out there but how many "Little Foot moms" are there today?

I thought the current platform was inferior to the old one, especially the search capability. I'm looking forward to the new platform!

The Ghandi story is one of my favorites. Good luck!

I really enjoyed this post! I came to the same conclusion about just being familiar with how things work because of seeing so many different variations of it, that many things become almost intuitive at times.

A new 3-5TB USB drive is also on my list!

I'm a bit surprised that that you can't have a custom "Application Component Details" view, especially with the Multiple Component Statistics widget that requires a static upper limit value for the gauge. Having the Application Component Gauge scale based on the Thresholds would be very helpful!

I just read the Reasons to not be Famous. Very interesting to see "the other side." I won't have to worry about the piratical tips, but I can see how sqlrockstar would benefit from them.

What is weird is that it worked on some of my devices but not on others. The number of VRFs might be an issue? We have two custom VRFs, plus the 3-4 out of the box VRFs. On Nexus 9K, NX-OS 9.x we would get the right VRF. On Nexus 9K, NX-OS 10.x it would not pull our custom VRF. The Tech Support guy pointed me to this…

I've seen the same in our environment. In addition to ignoring certain account names it would have to be from identified servers as well. If an account it connecting from an unapproved server then it should count against the threshold.

Ransomware protection. Why didn't I ever make the connection that if these companies have backups then there would be no need to pay.

EU will force electric cars to emit a noise below 20 km/h on July 1 I think I would like to go the other way and pay to have the Flintstones' car (running feet) sound.

What would be the virgin variation of these recipes?

I left Facebook more than five years ago since it was a distraction in my life. I've never regretted it.

I've always been a self-starter. I would find and implement solutions by myself. My advice to my past self would be-- just because you can do, does that mean that is the best solution. In my first job for example, there were two COTS apps that I managed that needed to talk to each other. One system would output a file and…

Seems like the My Orion Deployment (aka High Availability Deployment Summary) is an AppInsight of Orion, but that could be greatly improved.
