In larger environments i would believe there is need for this but when you have a small shop, i don't know that i would want to pay more for it. Sadly Solarwinds inst an inexpensive software package and i am sure that would give them an excuse to add more cost to their bottom line. Have to recoup those development costs.

Missed today's question. I read it, thought I knew it, then read the bottom section which indicated something different. I do dispute me getting it wrong, but I sort of think I did. Still unsure.

Have we touched on Hackers, The Net, and Johnny Mneumonic? I mean there is some serious tech, especially in Johnny. At the time in 1995, 80GB storage was a lot. I still had a 486 DX PC at home with 4 MB ram and a 250MB HDD running windows 3.11. If they had just been forward thinking a modern ipod can hold well more than…

Many moons ago, way back in the days where landlines were king, or maybe not that long ago, we had a situation where we lost our RPC service on the PDC in the main datacenter due to a recently dismissed IT team member. He renamed the RPC.exe service executable to RPCC.exe and it took nearly 48 hours, many calls, and many…

Also its part of the Hints on the first two questions so far this month, so you can download it from there most likely.

I can not, I would only want it to be noted when the technician or support professional actually addresses the ticket, just because it was assigned potentially automatically, doesn't mean it was addressed.
-
Congrats esecola

And yet I still got it wrong. Amazing. I selected the things the hint called out but big red x

Mr. E, I am your father.... and wait no more...

I think its not as easy as that anymore. i have vendors i trust, I have the parent company. I also have a handful of trusted people i can reach out to. Thing is when you reach out to a colleague you have to be careful to pay it back or forward, so you don't use them up. Sometimes it is far too easy to burn up your…
