there is a best practise guide for sql on here some where that covers everything like separating out the SQL database and the sql temp db to different drive sets, also make sure that you have at least 1.5 if not 2* more ram than your DB size for your SQL server

if you want some advise on the specs let me know, try to separate out the log db and the data db to different drive sets, and use raid 10 where you can and if you can get them go for enterprise ssds

Hi Brandon, this is because all our Orion Admins use local orion auth, and non admins have a mix of ad and orion auth. have a role assigned to a user/ group of users would make management much simpler.

im not sure if i have explained myself propery, against a particular node in the enviroment i have several universal device pollers; these pollers return a particular interger value, i would like to create metrics around these values, if you need any more information please let me know.

see above. its mentioned in the utility itself, its often a utility that is forgotten about, now that I have some time up my sleeve I am going to work of a FR for the way views are managed as the existing methodology is cumbersome and fiddley

I use groups for both parents and children and enable dynamic queries for group member ship, all my dependencies are setup as this group is a parent of that group, makes life easy and simple

please tell me you are getting new hardware and separating your web server, SQL and netflow storage server out? also this stuff is stored in the DB, very little of the customization is stored in the inetpub directory.

its really up to you which path that you want to take, if you see unknown interfaces, you will have to go into node management, expand the node, and select the interfaces you want to delete, you also will need to run a manual discover and re-poll on the device, note it might take some time for the DB to update depending on…

we have a mixture of AD users, AD groups and Orion Users. currently there is no way to assign or group these into master groups if i want to or need to change the default page for the admin users i have to change all the admin users having a role or master group would make this much simpler.

thanks for that, does any one know how i can create a udp for each probe, as 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.3.13.1.1.3 returns 14 rows of data even though i only have 6 probes?
