Is this still an issue or can the sting and CSS be customized in this version?
-
Thank you for following up. I appreciate that. So by design, the security rules eliminate the possibility of editing strings and CSS? So that means admin can no longer do something as simple as customize the text being displayed to end-users?

WOW! Almost two weeks and no responses. I haven't posted on here in a long time. Sad to see forum activity (other than unanswered questions) is now almost non-existent; especially posts from mods. I even submitted a ticket and no one has followed up. Also found more issues. Seems you can no longer edit HTML, CSS nor string…

Thanks Doug for all of the info. Very helpful

"The default value for "Treat Windows shortcuts as targets in listings" is "No", so you would need to modify this to "Yes" in order to test out my settings." Sorry, I got my "Yes" and "No" mixed up in my previous post. Regardless, it does not matter if it's set to "No" or "Yes" with regards to SyncBack. It fails to see the…

Craig, thanks for the reply. I never found a solution other than using the password protected certificate that I created with Putty and to stop using the CuteFTP client all together. It is odd that the certs I generated with Voyager, do not work with Voyager. I guess there's no point in opening a ticket since the Putty…

Thank you for your reply but your suggesting that I use the default settings so of course I already tried those. It does not matter if one or both of those settings are set to "No" or "Yes", Serv-U still reports the shortcuts as being Unix file types. That's the reason why SyncBack ignores the shortcuts on the server. Both…

Yes, it's Outlook. The email server is MDaemon which is an Exchange type server but everything is on the local network. I get the same results regardless if I use Outlook or webmail. I did more testing and see that this issue occurs on both emails if the sender sends the file share email to a local account. I also disabled…

It's an encoding issue. Going to or from UTF-8. I already reinstalled. Running on Windows Server 2008. Can someone verify if they can also reproduce issue?

Josh, I already have ClamAV installed on the same server as Serv-U but I cannot figure out how to have ClamAV scan and move uploaded files nor can I find any example scripts. Do you know how to set this up? Especially for File Sharing (Request Files From Guest User). Cheers, Jeff

Here's a couple of links that will help you genereate a cert that can be used: Site5 KnowledgeBase » How to generate SSH keys and connect to your account with PuTTY (Windows) http://winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_puttygen I originally tried using CuteFTP and Voyager FTP to generate the certs but the resulting, password protected…

I suggest contacting Serv-U support to see if there is a "hotfix" available for your version of Serv-U. There is one for v14.0.2. that fixes this issue. If you Google the error you're encountering, you will see it is related to "Liveconnect" and a handful of files on the server need to be updated to work properly with the…

Peter, Thank you for looking into this. Since SolorWind's QA was not able to reproduce the issue, I performed a clean install and the issue no longer occurs. I don't know how, but a file or registry entry must have been corrupted with the original install. Thanks again for your support!

Is anyone else able to reproduce this issue?

MDaemon Support says the issue is caused by Serv-U improperly encoding the emails. I opened a ticket with Solarwinds.
