Bret, Is your DB located on the same server? Jeff
-
Can you use the variable that is created for your custom property? It should be something like; ${Node.Interface_IP_Address}.
-
You can not monitor those interfaces on the switch but I'm guessing you want the stats on the interfaces. So for right now as far as I know you have to live with that little red dot on the green circle. But your request is a long time feature request.
-
No, you can't combine a NPM 100 with a NPM 500. You could work with Sales to move to the NPM 2000 in a single license. They will usually just charge you the upgrade price from the NPM 500 to the 2000.
-
You should be able to do this by accessing the Syslog Server application on the Orion server. You'll have to remote desktop to the server and launch the application.
-
I didn't think Top XX Endpoints was sorted by %. At least mine doesn't appear to be.
-
Service Pack 1 is out for 10.1.1, can you try that and see if it corrects your problem?
-
I'm not indicating we are, but I'd love to gather interest level on a web-based SSH tool within Orion. Is that something you'd be interested in---assuming it was awesome and worked well?
-
Did you see the Quick Start Guide for NCM? http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/orionNCM/docs/OrionNCMQuickStartGuide.pdf Is there something specific you're trying to do? Jeff
-
It depends on what level of detail you'd like to monitor. If you use SNMP you'll get an overall idea of the amount of traffic passing through each interface (physical & virtual), if you want to identify what kind of traffic and who is generating the traffic you'll need Netflow.

Waiting for service to stop Waiting for service to stop Waiting for service to stop Waiting for service to stop This is as far as I can get :(
-
You must get the same license that you have for Orion. So if you have Orion SLX then you must get NTA SLX.
-
You can always check the 'Content Exchange' to see if the device template has been created by another user. Also, check out this post; ?CMP=LEC-SWFEED-RES-THR Jeff
-
Are you sure the device you're testing on supports that OID?
-
1. Create device groups - Sample code in PowerShell for managing Orion groups: https://github.com/solarwinds/OrionSDK/blob/master/Samples/PowerShell/Groups.ps1 2. Create a SNMPv2 device adding into the appropriate group. - Sample code for adding an SNMPv2 node:…

Do you want to change all of your ICMP devices? If so what Vendor do you want to change them to?
-
I know you can integrate the IP SLA Monitor using the UdP. There is a video on the solarwinds website that will show you how. I don't know about the rest, but I thought you could monitor VM with Orion 9.1.
-
Have you looked at the admin guide yet?
-
I didn't think this release was public yet. You might want to post it in the APM beta forum?
-
Does Orion have Read/Write SNMP strings? I prefer to configure the IP SLA via the CLI instead of Orion doing it for me.
-
You could probably do that with just two servers. One to for the Orion server and the other for the DB. I would dedicated your DB server only to Orion for the best performance.
-
Under the same topic of IP Address groups I would like to ability to have mutiple groups. For our purpose it would be to show who is the top 5 residential buildings (dorms) and top 5 academic buildings by traffic utilization. Not sure this is possible now, so it would be a nice addition. Thanks.

Awesome, great to hear
-
Antonis, Here is the response from my team; Hope that helps. You need to join on Orion.Nodes in order to apply account limitations: SELECT C.CommandProtocol, C.NodeCaption FROM NCM.Nodes as C join Orion.Nodes as O on O.NodeId=c.CoreNodeId Hope that helps. Jeff

There are a few options for pulling this information depending on which products you own. In either case, yes, you will need the HP Insight Manager software installed on the servers you're trying to pull this information from. The next version of APM will pull this information out of the box, see this post for more…
-
I found a solution.
-
I would open a case for this one.
-
You have any luck getting this figured out? Looks like we are seeing the same.
-
You can do this using Solarwinds NCM product, but I don't think it's possible with Orion.
