Also, if you upgrade to NPM 10.1 you have the ability to use the new "Group" feature and you could base your alerts on the group instead of each application like you have it here.

Thanks Greg! Just for the sake of having on the forum, what would be the best way to do this in Orion instead of EOC?
-
You can still purchase IPMonitor here. The current version is limited to 500 monitors as indicated above.
-
Thanks, that worked perfect :)~

We've made the jump with great success, probably the smoothest upgrade for us. Upgraded, two seperate Orion SLX servers and two addiational pollers. We have every module except the VoIP and thus far everything has been running smoothly. Let me know if you have any specific questions...

Thx Denny.

We are seeing the same issue since the upgrade. It is actually taking much longer than 30 seconds, several minutes. I'm not sure if it has to do with the amount of nodes we monitor or some bug. Has anyone heard anything for SW? Thanks. Jeff

If you can setup a SPAN port you can always use nProbe which will create Netflow for you which you can then send to a collector.
-
The only interfaces that are down are either admin down or "unplugged" so I would expect them to show up like that. For my case is the red dot intended to show up? Thanks for your response, for now I can just remove child status, but that is not my ideal fix.

Can you please add the following line to your template; <Command Name="PreCommand" Value="${CRLF}"/>

kurtrh - RC2 is now in the portal with a fix for your issue.

Kurt, we don't provide release dates for RTM or GA for any products. We should have a fix out shortly for you. I'll notify you when we do. Jeff

If your device is not NetFlow capable you can always leverage our NTA collector and nProbe. Check out this post; Orion NTA and nProbe: Analyzing bandwidth hogs without flow-capable network equipment Jeff

Is there any thought to you all adding this as a feature? We just collect way to much to back everything up. Our thoughts are that if something happens we just want to get Orion up and running again asap.
-
I would honestly put it on something that doesn't have that limit. Might save you some trouble in the future. Maybe you could put it on an existing SQL server, it doesn't seem to be very resource hungry.

Have you tried 10.1.1 yet?

Node Pool Based Alert. The idea was to be alerted if a set number of servers in a specific node pool went down. Sample SQL Statements: Trigger Queryselect Nodes.NodeID AS NetObjectID, Nodes.Caption AS Name from nodes where Nodes.caption equals '<PoolObjectName>' and ((select count(*) from Nodes where Nodes.caption like…

There are a few reg keys you will have to delete to fix this. hkeylocal-->software-->solarwinds.net-->configured modules i removed all but the default key and was prompted. of course make a backup first :) Hope that helps.

Don, Out of curiousity, what version of SNMP are you using? Jeff

I'll try, but I'm not to sure where to look for the cause of this problem. Under the Orion Service Manger, even after a restart of the machine the services is showing stopped. I then start the service back up, it goes to Running and no more than 5 seconds later it goes back to Stopped. We installed this module last night…

Running the update.exe for a second time seemed to have fixed the problem. Thanks.

Please upgrade to NCM 7.5.1 where this issue should be resolved. Thanks, Jeff
-
Thanks for the quick response. I have a few questions about it. When I search for an IP address off of the front page it brings up the IP address with a list of routers that have sent flow data. When I expand the list it shows all interfaces that have traffic for that IP address. Is there a way to see all the traffic for…

I would make sure all the Permissions are checked for thos users also.
-
I already have notepager pro running on the Orion server with the cellular modem connected to it. My problem is getting alerts from another Orion server sent out that modem.
-
I didn't think any. If I turn the Trap service off should I see this go away?

EOL/EOS data is updated with releases of NCM. The last release NCM 7.5 included an updated database for EoL/EoS. Jeff

That link is dead, can you provide more information on this. I would like to use putty for my Orion site. Thanks.

Good to hear this is resolved. We will work on the document to make sure that is clear.
