You need to leverage Platform Connect to connect to our SaaS platform to take advantage of the AI Agent functionality. You do not need to own any of our SaaS products to do this.

Hey @joe432008 - Have you looked at this thread yet? https://thwack.solarwinds.com/discussion/101522/ssl-certificate-expiration-monitoring-using-powershell-scripts?tab=all

While not native to NPM or NCM, we do offer a free-tool that collects data from NCM and sends it to your SmartNet portal for review. I suggest starting there, but I do like this request and will consider it for a future release of NCM. Jeff

This is great, thanks @"Deltona"

Edwin, I'd be happy to setup a call so I can gather feedback on how you're currently using the product, features you'd like to see added and your priority of each feature. I'll follow up via email. Jeff

And how this typically relates to Orion products Orion MIB Database – What Is It Good For? Jeff

This feature is listed on our WWWO post for NCM; https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-176911#start=25 Jeff

NPM Additional Polling Engines are stackable on the main NPM server or on Additional Polling Engines. While there is no cap on the number of APEs per Orion NPM instance we typically recommend that you stay below 15 APEs or ~100,000 elements.

jmiddleton wrote: This is looking great, hoping to have an NPAS up and running early next week, do you get any extra NPAS & SPAS licenses with additional pollers? I take it pricing for both will be coming on the release of the GA for 11.0? You don't get extra sensors with Additional Polling Engines, but you can purchase…

What is the problem you're trying to solve with these metrics?

"The important part would be having the local database of dates updated automatically as well, with SolarWinds doing the work." We update the EOS/EOL database when we update NCM. There are no EOS/EOL updates that occur outside of product releases.

Totally Radical!

Will- Do you have a list of features/functionality that is missing from LA that is important to you?

Looks amazing...can't wait!

Here is a video on how to enable instant eval; Getting Started with Instant Evaluation - YouTube

"Are we getting 16K per poller" No, the capacity of a single Additional Polling Engine for NPM remains at ~12,000 elements at default polling. You now have the ability to stack 4 Additional Polling Engines for NPM, perviously it was 3.

@"amore1329" - Great to hear! Do you want to shoot me an email (jeff.stewart@solarwinds.com) and we can discuss how to get started?
-
Typically major releases, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't deliver in an SR if we had updates.
-
jezmarsh If I understand you correctly, you are looking to provide EOS/EOL data to customers where their Orion instances doesn't have Internet access. Is that correct?

jeremydr wrote: is there a release date yet? We can't give out release dates, but the fact that it's in RC3 should be a good indication of when you should expect to see GA bits.

I don't think PR is going to let us use that one, but I like it!

PeterLyttle -- wrote: Has Solarwinds acquired or Partnered with AppNeta as this is scarily like their Pathview product? Will this probe be integrated into the QoE 'probe'/software? I've always found it easier to specify the interface name instead of the ifindex for the -i command. E.g. nprobe /c -i Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection -n 10.199.15.50:2055 -b 1 -u 2 -Q 2 Tip: use the 'route print' command on your windows box to find the ifindex or interface name.

Call me crazy, but with some crafty SQL and a script you could probably do this via the Alert Manager .

Are you talking about the firmware vulnerabilities reporting? If so the match is based on the IOS version we have and what the NVD has put in the CVE. Sometimes they CVEs are very generic and specify things like Cisco IOS, which make its difficult to match to a specific version of IOS. This is less than ideal, so we have…

Steven Carlson wrote: According to http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/ScalabilityEngineGuidelines.pdf NCM and NTA don't support stackable pollers and you would still need the separate servers. It looks to only be supported for NPM and SAM. Steven, NPM and SAM are the only products that can take advantage of…

Very nice. Thanks ! Jeff

Yes, you need SAM 6.2 to take advantage of the Orion Agent for SAM monitoring. Technically the agent is also used for QoE which was introduced in NPM 11.0, but that doesn't include the SAM monitoring aspect that you're probably looking for.

Come on aLTeReGo, we can get serena to get this done!!!!

This feature has been added to NTA 4.2.
