I also experience this exact same problem. Every few days, the scans hang. I have go to the scan status page and cancel the 2 scans that are hung. It will start scanning normally again. Does real-time config change notifications work on windows 2008. Seems that there could be an issue when NCM creates the scheduled job, the job will be automatically set to run only when user is logged in. I am moving to windows 2008 server soon. Trying to get all my ducks in a row.

I have just experienced this same thing. Group icon shows green, but the node(under that group) icon shows a blinking red box, indicating that a interface is down. There is no way of seeing this unless you expand the group, to see all the nodes in that group. Add me to the feature request please.

Check whether your NCM is configured to show passwords (and more) by going to File / Settings / Security, and then looking at what options have been selected.
