Yes . We have raised a case with support . As usual support could not help much . They have escalated to developers and we are still waiting for them to get back .
-
Yes . You are totally right. But I think solarwinds developers are already working on the fix in next NCM release. I just hope they backport to older supported releases also .
-
I managed to resolve it. After the upgrade, Solarwinds was not able to differentiate the : character in the banner and was getting confused and entering the username again. Made a small change to the banner and the backups worked

I tried using the same template also . It's the same error which we get . Not sure if some config like banner or any other specific config is causing this issue.
-
It says syslog services started and running. No error can be seen .

I compared two devices with same hardware and OS . Both of them I tested using same templates. One device correctly logs in and enters enable and enable password whereas the non working one logs in and types the username instead of typing enable .

we dont even see the compressed versions of the xml from Oct 16. Whats the version of NCM for which there is plan to include JSON feeds ? And does converting the JSON feeds to xml and uploading them work? Has anyone tried it

This is what is happening in the non working device ---- Connection Profile: nwncm-ssh2 ----- Device Template: Copy of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance X - act WARNING: .ACCESS TO INFORMATION ON THIS MACHINE AND NETWORK IS RESTRICTED TO AUTHORISED PERSONNEL ONLY. ANY UNAUTHORISED USER IS SUBJECT TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION…

Yes. We did see those logs and could not see any abnormalities . The strange thing is that syslogs are working after reboot and stoping to work after 10 min

Kindly confirm what all access should the shared space have . Having tcp/22 open and read/write access is enough? Also how do we specify the location path . Is this format correct? <hostname>:/opt/data/xxxx

trekkie007 I already opened a case with support and I was informed that the developers are working on it as a priority case . I was informed that this will be fixed most likely by next year mid .
-
They are single context. I tried to test . And observed that logs that they are logging in successfully . But after the prompt instead of typing enable , the username is getting typed and that's why the error . But for some other Asa , it's okay . It's correctly typing enable and then proceeding.
-
I tried using the same template also . When using the same template , one device goes into enable while the other one is not getting into enable mode . Is there some issue with banner or any config ? I suspect the prompt some timing issue.

How did you try to download ? Did you test it in the connection tester from the exact poller .?

I took the exam recently. Did not need to memorise the admin guides. I went through them once. But the things that helped in the exam were mostly the experience of using the product and basic network troubleshooting knowledge.
