So, now that NPM v10 is out, is there yet a way to configure traps to show up in the Orion Web Alerts and/or Events? Thanks, JD
-
Sorry, I poked around and answered my own question, in that the SQL user needed admin rights. Thanks again.

Interfaces.Unmanaged<>1 did the trick in the web views. Thanks!

It's been a while since I implemented this solution, so I don't remember whether it was one or all of these exclusions. What I can tell you is that it has been working for a long time now: Ignoring hex data ^[ \t\r\n\v\f]*[A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9][A-Fa-f0-9] Ignoring…

Support took care of me. I actually had to delete the rows (not just the values) for the following: CirrusISPassword CirrusISUserName Afterward he was prompted to authenticate to NCM once, and afterward it does it automatically and works swell. Thanks, JD
-
jswan, I did as you instructed and cleare the CirrusISPassword for the user. The next time he tried to access the NCM page it immediately popped up with a Windows-style login page, and his AD account was locked out.

Well, that got me past the first obstacle. Now here's where I am (recall that this is NPM 8.5.1) In the Orion Configuration Wizard: * Database Settings: I select the new DB server, and select "Windows Authentication" (the db is set as such). It lets me go on * Database Settings: I select "Use an existing database:…

Can someone who represents Solarwinds please tell us whether it has been conclusivbely decided that this would be addressed? If so, can a tentive date, at least a goal, be provided as to when we can expect it to be ready? As a Solarwinds reseller and a customer, I have a geniune interest in knowing whether I can expect…

The the regex where?
-
That was it. It was just an educational issue. Thanks.

Having the ability to schedule recurring discoveries is nearly pointless if one still has to spend so much time manually filtering out the unwanted elements. Do we have an estimated date as to when this feature will be available? This is beginning to impede my ability to recommend this product to my potential customers.
-
I would like to request that this functionality be available in the base product. I would like, for example, for discovery never to show me results containing "WAN Miniport*" nor "*tunnel*" nor "*QoS*" interfaces. It would also be nice to have the option never to show removable volumes like DVD drives, etc.
-
I would even be happy with a "top 10 errors" (no discards) option to choose from.
-
Andrew that did the trick. Thanks! JD
-
It's just demo at this point. Can I open a case for support on a demo product?
-
I love complete and effective answers. Thank you romkon.

+1 on discovery filters.
-
+1 on #3. Been a long time coming...
-
I'm trying to filter them off of a web element.

It's not so much the upgrade that I'm having problems with. It is in duplicating the current version (8.5.1) from our production application server to the future application server, and the duplication of the NetPerfMon (for NMP 8.5.1) from our production SQL server to the future SQL server. * I had a new server built and…

Do we have an update or an estimation as to when this capability will be possible? It's extremely confusing and time-consuming. It's beginning to impede my ability to promote this product to my customers.
-
This worked exactly as documented. Thanks for the help!
-
I just don't get it. I removed and re-added this guy again but it still refuses to work for him. Now when he goes to the NCM page he doesn't even get prompted for authentication, it just locks his AD account out. He has the same AD privileges that all other engineers do.
-
Do we have an update on this? I'm really getting tired of "ignoring" "WAN Miniports", etc every day.
-
Anyone else besides me find this annoying?

Compliance: PCI Security Report

I answered my own question. I removed the Application Monitor hives from HKLM\Software\Solarwinds and Solarwinds.net
-
Yeah verily... I've been looking for the exact same thing for a long time. Our environment adds new virtual servers constantly. I would like to be able to filter out "QoS Packet Scheduler", "SSTP", "IKEV2", " etc, or aby whatever other string I choose. This would make my life a whole lot easier.

Quick update. Touched base with an NCM engineer at tech support. He advised that I do the install with AntiVirus disabled. I tried, but still it failed. We have a remote access meeting scheduled for Sept 3.

Any updates on this, now that V10 is out? I'm particularly interested in #6. JD
