There is already discussion about this in the following thread - For populating subnets with IP addresses you can use the tool referenced in that discussion or you can simply use Add IP Range button on the Manage Subnets & IP Addresses page.

Hi Mike, Do you use EOC 1.3? If so, we can exclude the invalid credentials and out of sync times on both servers, because these errors would be reported by different error messages. I would double check proxy settings - please see article Unable to add an Orion NPM to Orion EOC in our KB, especially the…

Geir, you are right, just start the IPAM 3.1 installer on the existing IPAM server and it will do the rest.
-
It looks like you just need to register IPAM 3.0 with a new license key. The message "X days left" is typically displayed for an Eval version. Jan

Sorry, which links do you mean?

Please try to run following command from the IPAM server for one of those IP addresses without hostname: ping -a IPaddress If you get correct reply (including hostname), then open a support ticket. Thanks Jan

Please look at the KB article Setting up Orion NCM accounts to use with Orion EOC. If this doesn't help, open a support ticket. Thanks Jan

Please open a support ticket for this, looks like some polling issue. Thanks Jan

Hi patriot! You need to click on the resource name in the list. After that, settings window for the selected resource is displayed on the right side of the screen. To add the resource to the view, you need to press the Add button at the bottom at that window. Jan

Dave, the answer on your first 2 questions (creating PTR and alias records CNAME from the Edit IP Address page, and an automatic creation of PTR records) is no. This is the way how it works now. The 'DNS Server Node' and 'DNS Server Zone' are grayed out on the Edit IP Address page, because these settings are inherited from…

Brandon, I'm afraid there is no easy way how to handle this in IPAM today. Maybe creating custom reports containing IP addresses stored in custom fields could help here, but it's still not the perfect solution. I will let PM know about your feature request, so he is aware of it when planning next releases. Thanks Jan

When you are removing DHCP server from IPAM, there is a checkbox "Remove scopes from DHCP Server". My only explanation is, that you checked it, when you removed those servers from IPAM.

Hi Joseph, this was a known bug in one of the older versions of the EOC Map Conversion Utility. Could you please download the latest version of that utility from your SolarWinds customer portal? Thanks Jan
-
This should work, can you please open a support ticket for this? Thanks Jan

You are right, if you use an AD group for logging into NPM, you can't enter its password into EOC and you are not able to get list of reports from that NPM (and also you are not able to acknowledge Events, Alerts and Syslogs from EOC). We are working on a solution for this. In the meantime the only workaround is to…

Please use following syntax in this resource: VS.Volume.Type = 'Fixed Disk'

Hi Max! It looks like you have a wireless client with an empty or incorrectly formatted MAC address - the MAC address is empty or has less than 12 characters. You can find that device in EOC database using following SQL query: SELECT * FROM dbo.EOC_Wireless_Client WHERE LEN(ISNULL(MAC, '')) < 12 To fix the issue, you have…

Yes, this is supported upgrade path. Jan

Please open a support ticket for this. Thanks Jan

I would suggest opening a support ticket for this.

This issue was fixed in EOC 1.3 SP1, please update your EOC to the latest SP. Thanks Jan

Hi Yan, here are the answers: 1) You don't have to add the 2nd NPM to EOC. You need to add just the first one because both pollers use the same DB. 2) This is currently not possible. 3) This is not officially supported, anyway there is no technical reason why this shouldn't work. Thanks Jan
-
This is currently not supported. You can directly change CSS files in the Styles subfolder in the EOC web site folder but your changes will be rewritten during upgrade or EOC reinstall.

Please double check SolarWinds Information Service if it's up and running and try to restart it. You can check it in Windows Services or using Orion Service Manager (Start / Programs / SolarWinds Orion / Advanced Features / Orion Service Manager). If it doesn't help, open a support ticket. Thanks Jan

Hi Delphi, EOC gathers some basic info from the NetFlow module as well. You can look at EOC Live Demo to find out, which NetFlow information is displayed in EOC - http://eocdemo.solarwinds.com/Default.aspx?viewId=1007 Jan
-
Ben, EOC doesn't install those administration tools which are installed with NPM. Do you have any specific issue, which you need these tools for? Thanks Jan
-
Please open a support ticket for this.

All groups are always displayed, this is by default behavior and there is no workaround for this. Is this a big issue for you, shall we create a change request for this? Thanks Jan

Luke, which IPAM version do you use? The performance of the IPAM_spTouchGroupCounts stored procedure was significantly improved in IPAM 3.0 which was released few weeks ago. If this is the version you use, please send me a personal message here on thwack. We would like to investigate this issue further, but first we need…
