I can't seem to figure out how to get credit for Task 6. Have read several product blogs and geek speak articles maybe i am missing what the blog subject line is?

I answered all questions correctly throughout the month but didn't receive any points. Maybe i slipped through the cracks?
-
Danielle any luck on modifying my user name so the points will apply?
-
Sure make any changes needed

Danielle, anything I need to do on my end as I still don't show any points from the May mission

So I tried using the registry value exist rule instead of registry key exist and that seemed to fix my continual installing issue once the package had been approved. I can still use "Update Management" to push the package to a machine that already has the LEM agent installed and it reports back a successful install instead…

Anyone have any ideas? I am needing to deploy 200 LEM agents asap. I have tried the remote LEM agent installer where you feed it a list of computers but due to energy policies my workstations hibernate and its not time efficient manually keeping up with a not installed list.

I created my Office 2010 package exactly how Lawrence described and successfully upgraded 200 machines from Office 2007. The only issue I ran into was with automatic activation (don't have a KMS server and users didn't have rights to complete activation with MAK key predefined). But I got around it calling ospp.vbs /act…

I also show the 5.7.0.0 in my environment under Add/Remove programs. You can confirm the 6.0.0 is installed by looking in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ContegoSPOP" should see 6.0.0 directory. It looks like they forgot to update the registry…

Make sure you have Global Automatic Updates enabled. Manage > Appliances > Properties section under Settings tab.

This exact issue happened to me back in January. Not sure if it was just due to a reboot of LEM or if doing live migrations between failover hosts contributed but right after the reboot LEM started giving this eth0 error. Since we are entirely a Windows shop with LEM being our only Linux appliance SolarWinds support was my…

No points yet here. Any idea on end date for this survey and when the drawing is?

Yes all you need to do is subscribe to the Mozilla Packages they will be listed under Software Publishing. To manage your subscriptions click on "Software Publishing" then under the Actions menu (right hand side of PM console) select Synchronization Settings > Subscription tab. This will add the Mozilla Packages that you…

So after some more research into the registry key exists rule I was able to get past the xml parsing error by using & in place of the & character in the path name. I have also used the PowerShell command Test-Path to verify my registry key…

Daniel, You need to exclude the EminentWare.DataGridService.exe from the Anti-Virus Standard Protection > Prevent mass mailing worms from sending email. If you need more help with configuring the McAfee ePO rules just let me know.

Steve, I have the same issue where my LEM appliance (virtual machine) is unable to mount windows shares when trying to upgrade through the console (same error 13). If you contact SW support they can provide your root credentials and once under root you can try manually mounting the share. I was finally able to get mine to…

Yes the LEM agent can easily be packaged for deployment through WSUS with Patch Manager. I needed to use WSUS to push out the LEM agent to my 150 machines since we use a energy savings policy to hibernate machines after 60mins and the LEM remote installation tool requires a machine to be online. Select your LEM agent…

To uninstall the update you will need to go back into the approve menu for the Office service pack and choose "Approved for Removal".

Why don't you use McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator to deploy/update the agents? The whole point of the McAfee agent is to manage McAfee products installed on a system and to communicate back to the ePO server. At least after you soak in all the data Lawrence linked you will have a good grasp on package creating.
