When you get the selection process and see the nodes, you need to expand the arrow at the side of the nodes to select the actual interfaces you want. Dont select the node.
-
yes. I want to alert on interface, select instance under the select field. Select objects and filter by node. You need to create a brand new alert.

no woman no cry bob! Maps, lots of maps!
-
Well the good news is that you wont have to worry about it soon because flow storage is going and it will all be in the sql database.
-
Not really because it depends on what you are monitoring interfaces, volumes, how many ip's, configs and sizes not to mention your retention requirements. Every organization is different. Based on working in different environments, i would estimate your database size will grow to about 200GB for sqlbased off the default…

Here you go sir. java.lang.NullPointerException when clicking on Techs in Setup menu - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
-
Yes, you can deploy anything either through the wsus inventory or create custome, exe, cmd, batch files etc....
-
Glad to here
-
Fair enough, your ok there too, agents support redhat as well. They are both rpm based anyway. The agent uses .bin which is supported in most linux distros once the convert comand is run.
-
The netbackup appliance runs suse linux so is supported by solarwinds. I have deployed to suse and it works perfectly fine.

Number of questions here, can you see the reports in manager reports? Have you checked other schedules? Did you check the message center to see who might have moved them or deleted them? All system events to do with auditing are monitored and recorded here.
-
Correct, the only real reason is in your main polling engine is nearing 100%.
-
Well i would say sl250. NPM you monitor all active interfaces depending on the device function. NTA never uses the same amount of interfaces as NPM from my experience but you still have to match.
-
You have to think latterally with LEM. The organization of lem is done by grouping alerts. It's the alerts from the node that is the emphais and you create the alerts for the nodes, hence where the grouping of the nodes. You do this through build.
-
Just the nodes really, thats about it.
-
Yes, remove anything they can access and create a new map for the items they can access. Give the test user admin rights so you can customize the page and then remove them when your finished. There is an option to allow customize views in the group account settings.
-
No, not at all the views are applicable to the mapped group so you only have to log in as one user in the group and customize the page. You can build a new view if you want to and set as default on their profile. Alternatively you can create a new view and link it to a button as well under customize menu bars.
-
Yes, allow report management rights and the reports will be filtered by the group limitations you set. The second issue can be resolved by adding their reports to their favourites. There is also a table in customize views where you can display a list of reports. You can add the reports list to their dashboard as well.
-
Very simple, just create a group for each environment containing the nodes for their environment. Do this under settings/ manage groups. Under the mapped ad groups in manage accounts, edit the mapped ad group. Under limitations, hit edit and select group of groups. Then select the newly created node groups you created from…
-
Well to be honest, it really depends if there is synchronization of accounts across the domains. So if there is then you just need one group for the accounts. If there is just a trust relationship, then you will have to setup three groups on the three domain controllers and map the three groups in the accounts/groups.

Not sure what you mean here, would you mind elaborating?
-
Well, for this to happen, somebody configured netflow to be sent to orion. It does not happen automatically. My advise would be find out who did it and get them to disable it.
-
Necesita licencia de netflow en un dispositivo.
-
áspero Necesita enviar netflow de tu firewall o enrutador WAN a solarwinds para netflow trabajar. También debe marcar las fuentes en la configuración de nta, fuentes de datos. Espero que esto ayude.

Please visit this link for OID information : Juniper Networks - [Junos] How to find the SNMP OID which corresponds to the SNMP object name - Knowledge Base You can use UNDP to create graphs, tables and charts to monitor specific items via OID. This does not have to be applied to orion one device at a time and if the OID is…
-
Yes, this is an easy one, you can use the custom object resourse table.
-
Good to hear and your welcome. Let me know how you get on.
-
what did you do to break your reports anyway?
-
eweee... that looks horrible, try this https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Web_error_when_accessing_a_Report_Writer_report
