not a chance. They are replacing it in 12.3 anyway with a new map application.

Im not talking about mibs, im talking about the wireless section under dashboards, network, wireless. That is the native support for wireless controllers in npm. Im not talking about individual nodes. Wireless Network Monitor - Easily Manage Wi-Fi Networks | SolarWinds

Basically the only supported wireless controller vendors that are supported in solarwinds which allow you to monitor your ap's without adding them are cisco and meraki. Any other endor requires the ap's to be added independently via snmp or icmp if you just want up down status. You will have to add 13.000 ap's to solarwids…

Not supported natively in npm which means you will have to configure snmp on all your ap's and add them to solarwinds for active monitoring, at the very least use icmp.

here you go under Machine type. SELECT TOP (1000) [NodeID] ,[ObjectSubType] ,[IP_Address] ,[IP_Address_Type] ,[DynamicIP] ,[UnManaged] ,[UnManageFrom] ,[UnManageUntil] ,[Caption] ,[DNS] ,[Community] ,[RWCommunity] ,[SysName] ,[Vendor] ,[SysObjectID] ,[Description] ,[Location] ,[Contact] ,[RediscoveryInterval]…

Hi Enderaz, The answer is no. The rediscovery on each node is configured by default every thirty minutes. This is located in polling settings. If you are importing everything every day then edit your discovery to untick the option 'check existing nodes for changes'. You should not have to do this unless you have swapped…

The simple way to do this is in the email action and configure email actions for each site on the one alert under time of day.

Check your antivirus, check the credential is domain admin, check windows firewall and confirm you set your server up as a publishing server. Also check the correct credential is in the credential ring. Also check if the servers are not the same os that the wmi and rpc protocols are compatible with each other. There are…
-
Very easy one. Create a new alert and name appropriately. On the next screen, select interface instead of node. Under the condition, select instance where it says select field, then select your interfaces from object selection that appears. Hit + below that for the AND condition. under select field, search all fields and…

Ah, reindex your database. Stop all services and delete solarwinds from c:\windows\temp. Upgrade to npm 12.2 asap.
-
Personally i would not consider one second slow really but you have not specified if your using the new or old manage nodes. There is a bug in swiss in your version, a memory leak so i would see what happens in 12.2 where the issue has been fixed.

Check unknown and or try and search by hostname instead of ip. The device might have multiple ip's.

Assuming your using npm 11.5 or above, all information is in the sql database. The nta database needs to be moved from c:\program data directory to the new server as well. You will need to do the database migration first and run config wizard for both nta and orion to the new sql server. To move the application server,…

I have encountered these puppies before and i believe they require additional netflow cards to be purchased. Can you confirm that is the case?
-
Im just wondering how they are replicating the data because it is obviously not replicating the fqdn, i would ask that question because all tables should be the same. FYI Solarwinds does not support Merge replication which could be your issue so i would ask your dba about this.
-
Whats your database setup? Whats the procedure on failover for sql server?
-
Open database manager from the server and go to the websites table. You can double check your entries there. Also it would be a good idea if you dont have a dns alias setup to input the value into the host file on the server as well.
-
Your database was probably heavily fragmented id say. Having resource errors on the website is usually database or under resourcing.
-
bharris check the indexed on the orion database. jkrenzien any update on the orion database?
-
The flow database. I would also check the orion database as the website files are located there.
-
Ok, when was the last time maintenance on the nta storage was completed?
-
Did you do a migration? Did you upgrade the netflow storage before upgrading the application?
-
I presume you are talking about sam. Firstly i would check the credentials are admin on that domain controller. Secondly i would check if powershell 2.0 is installed. Check group policy to ensure that winrm is allowed. I would also check the security logs on the server after an attempt to see is there an audit failure or…
-
Firstly this looks like german language but translating the information you have relayed i would surmise that this is a windows server. Secondly this is a vm. Thirdly it would indicate that policy is blocking driver updates to this server. This can be viewed in the advanced windows event logs under devicesetup.
-
You need to send netflow to solarwinds. It is not an snmp issue.
-
As far as i can remember, the public one is the exception and appears before login.

Yes, when you create a new request type or edit a request type, the is a field for notes that you can put in a link. You can also put documentation in faq but i thing the best solution is messages which will appear on the home screen. Create a new message as below and select who it is applicable to. Public is the one that…
