Whats your player load?

Replicate the vm's to site c and power on when site a and b go down, use log shipping for the sql server to an sql server on site c.
-
Open ports through your firewall for 17777 and 17778. Install the QoE agent on your selected external device and configure orion to pick it up through QoE settings. Quality of expirience should answer that question for you.

designerfx Jesus christ no, needs its own dedicated server...lol... on the sql server! Although all the stuff ive seen it would not surprise me at all if i walked onto a site and saw it.
-
leratob Looking at that, the rights on the inetpub directory is a problem and i would investigate this as the website files are stored in there. Normally what causes this is your antivirus or rebooting the server. Double check you have exclusions in place on the solarwinds relevant directories in your av.
-
You need to fix those permissions because the main executables are in the solarwinds directory.
-
fingers crossed!
-
The agent has nothing to do with the core install. The agent is for deployment on remote servers to filter wmi traffic back to orion. Did you run the permissions checker?
-
go to prog files (x86)\solarwinds\orion and run the orion permissions checker, run repair and run config wizard again.
-
did you follow this
-
Not being funny here but there are so much lack of information in your question. What sql? mssql, mysql, postgresql......etc. Whats it installed on? windows, linux? What SW modules do you have?
-
Go to your customer portal and log in. Select downloads. If you have not bought yet, go here: Website Monitoring and Performance Software | SolarWinds
-
It should do it automatically, log a ticket with solarwinds.
-
its in c:\program files (x86)\solarwinds\orion\sqlexpress. Look for the data directory, the database and log are in there.
-
Yes i have read your question very clearly sir but you dont seem to understand the polling mechanisms on the undp and orion workig indepedently. If it is polling in seconds then it has not been configured correctly and i have explained to you how to do it the right way. snmp collection over seconds is not a good thing. If…
-
Well, you need to check the pollers themselves to determine the polling interval. It looks configured incorrectly if it is hogging your network and looks to be polling too frequently. The undp pollers will poll and retrieve every 15 minutes but will retrieve the last 15 minutes data in its entity which will not miss…
-
Alot of this data is retrieved by universal device poller and it looks to be configured incorrectly. Make sure the polling interval on the undp is set correctly. On tests i have done, i have set no less than 15 minutes as the anything less will cause strain on the orion server and cause hostnames to drop off in one case.…
-
Yes, go to program files\solarwinds\orion and run the the permissions checker. Repair the errors. Re-run the wizard. If it still fails, clear the asp.net cache, restart the website and the the application pool. Then run the wizard again.

Edge is rubbish man, use chrome. Nobody uses edge. I would not worry, ie will be around a long time because edge is just not good enough and microsoft know it. That is why you cant use it in server 2016 default admin account. The good news is that edge should be ready for use microsoft approved in the year 2029.

No,

You are correct, the job will continue with missing updates. If you have a situation where laptops are not on the lan you could deploy a downstream pm server on your dmz. Deploy the agents to these laptops and use natting on the router. Install the agents manually to the natted ip address of that server and then updates…
-
Setup a group for laptops not on the lan all the time and schedule the critical and security updates nightly. It will only update the relevant devices. Everthing else will be not applicable.

Crack open a new custom table report and select custom sql as datasource. Enter the following and enter your database name instead of 'mydatabase'. SELECT TOP (100000) [NodeID] ,[ObjectSubType] ,[IP_Address] ,[IP_Address_Type] ,[DynamicIP] ,[UnManaged] ,[UnManageFrom] ,[UnManageUntil] ,[Caption] ,[DNS] ,[Community]…

Log onto your orion server and serch the start menu for 'atlas'. It should pop right up. Log in with your orion credentials.
-
Yes you can in network atlas, drop the nodes into network atlas and enable link utilization and labels. The grey links are the guess work, the blue links with labels are correct. I use auto dependencies all the time. The are correct as long as the correct interfaces are being monitored, they are only wrong when the…

well try this : SELECT TOP 1000 * FROM [dbo].[IndexDefragmentationHistory] obviously change the 1000 to what you want to see.
-
Yes unfortunately you only have clustered or non clustered options and not the whole.
-
You could try the custom object resource chart from customize page. Select appinsight for sql databases and filter the results from there for what you want to see.
-
Have you tried the event log monitor?
-
Well to be honest your talking about siem functionality to be fair but alas yes there is, You can use the domain controller security template or the event log template,
