mfc42u.dll is directly related for use in device manager and services.msc so as you can see it is directly related to the plug and play manager as this dll is used during the loading of services. I have a hunch that some application that requires drivers are loading for an application like power iso to mount virtual dvd…

I am calm, im just blunt. You just came across as a bit wide on your assertions and im direct, to the point. I dont get angry or upset, i just get to the point. I like you, your funny.

You are more than welcome sir.

That is so funny, that was what i thought originally but i was not sure. Im water then!

Hi Tcore, The problem is that the request types assigned to the tech groups are restricted to those tech groups. All the tech groups need access. Another way you could do it with your existing setup is to make one manager manager of all tech groups and will have access to the request types but tickets would have to be…

You are more than welcome sir.

Cool, i would check the permissions on that service.

I know what your looking for and it is extremely complicated situation. I cant give you the ultimater solution on this one but certainly make your life easier. To start create a new custom property fro all your alerts. Then you can use it here. Then you can also put in a timezone constraint if you wish under the trigger…

Im going to take it by your silence that you have not tested your script and keytool is not supported by solarwinds. I would be very careful about supplying unsubstantiated information to unsuspecting individuals as this could damage their systems. It was a similar situation with your confusion on the other thread about…
-
BTW, solarwinds dont provide any support for custom scripting. I would love an answer to my question, have you tested your script because i test mine all the time?
-
I do but not for unsupported products, now have you tested the script?
-
LOL.... Im superman!
-
Yes, you need to make sure your ports are open between the servers. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/SolarWindsPortRequirements.pdf Also make sure certificates are up to date on the servers, you can use the client publishing wizard if you dont.

You are more than welcome sir.

The best way around this is to create a a working tech group with one user that has access to all request types like a manager or an admin. Setup an action rule to reassign to that individual, an action rule to change the request type to one that the actual destination tech group has access to and one more to assign to the…

Im afraid so, requires smi-s provider and solutions enabler. Anything to do with vnx\clarion is on the same boat.
-
Looks good sir. As long as you have all your windows servers in the custom property.
-
I think you should send syslog to orion and attempt it then, it will tell you why its failing if its talking at all or if its operating on port 161. The only other thing ican think of is the string is only set for traps. A firmware upgrade might be on the cards id say.

Gotcha, All you have to do is customize view and hit + to which colum you want. Search for custom table and submit. Edit resourse, change datasourse and change node to alerts from the dropdown and all alerts get selected by default. Under columns select date, time or whatever you want displayed. Repeat process for events…
-
Ok fair enough, list resources on the affected node and make sure the same poller is assigned to this device. Log with solarwinds id say.
-
If it is a service being blocked then you should look at the security logs in event viewer, did anything show under the operational log.

Computer Management, Event Viewer, Applications and Services Logs, Microsoft, Windows, UAC, Operationa

That is great to hear, Where did you go? We do our best.

Right, time to bring out the big guns on this one. Create a new alert and name accordingly. Next screen, select node and under 'select field' select instance. Click select objects and choose everything under net-snmp. Add a condition and under 'select field' select status, then select unknown. This should cover the basics.…
-
Do indeed sir, some very good stats from that one.
-
Nope dont need to ask. Unsupported by solarwinds. Have you tested this by the way? What would be more realistic is to follow supported solarwinds approaches and monitor through trusted root certifications. It would be very unprofessional of me as a solarwinds certified engineer to condone untested and unsubstantiated…
-
Well the node name is your hostname as recieved from your devices so if your talking about renaming the nodes why dont you change the hostnames but i fail to see why you would rename your naming convention in the first place. LEM'S primary functionality is to analyse syslog and events from nodes, not node management so the…

You need to package your .msu as an exe which would be one way around it and then use the new package wizard to deploy. You can also follow this post for other packaging methods. Windows Hotfix .msu

You are more than welcome sir.
