Agreed. We use custom fields extensively and this ability would make them much more powerful.

In addition it would be nice to have the ability to customize the ticket creation window more by adding things like horizontal ines, line breaks and such, as well as do thinkgs like change font properties on labels

Agree with 2 and 3. It would be nice if when searching for assets it only showed those that were available if a time range has already been entered, or flagged those that were already reserved in that time frame. As it is now, you have to click on it to be told it is unavailable.
