  • Thanks for the replies! It does seem the lag is because Solarwinds is attempting to detect the prompt before it sends the next command. I did both suggestions above and reducing the "prompt timeout" to the lowest setting, 5 seconds, did improve the wait inbetween each command it sent. LorenzoBrizeno... Thanks for that…

  • We recently installed Solarwinds NPM and have some HP test gear onsite. It found the gear ok which consists of a pair of S12508(irf'd) and four S5820X(irf'd). By default if pulled response time, packet loss and interface % util. I haven't played with it to see if I could pull other variables yet.
